Kiarti
Thanee Golf & Country Club
Another favorite among local residents and
tourists alike, the course is conveniently located about 45 minutes
south of Bangkok at Km 29 on the Bangna-Trad highway. Although this
18-hole course is fairly flat, its extensive use of bunkering and water
hazards more than compensate to provide a challenge to golfers at all
levels.
This course is deceptive and appears
much easier than it is. It is a fairly flat layout with good fairways
and greens. Water comes into play on every hole except the tenth. The
greens tend to be quite and have many interesting slopes for the golfer
to assess. The long par five holes are all difficult on account of the
greens being so well guarded by either water or extensive bunkering.
The course is complemented by an elegant
clubhouse, sporting facilities, residences and a boat club. Visitors are
not permitted to play on weekends. |

Bangkok Golf Club
One of only a handful of golf courses located
within Bangkok's suburbs, the Bangkok Golf Club is also one of the most
delightful, offering golf on cleverly designed by extremely testing
fairways and greens. Despite its central location, this course has a
refreshing rural appeal, thanks in part to the many species of waterfowl
that inhabit the numerous lakes and ponds. Highlights of this testing
course include the par four 14th whose island tee is not for the
fainthearted.
The clubhouse here is excellent and features
traditional Thai massage, golf pro shop and a choice of international
Italian and Japanese restaurants. Night golfing is also available at
this course.
Bangkok Golf Club was home to the Volvo Masters of
Asia in 2003.

Lam Luk Ka Country
Club
36 Holes of championship and resort style golf.
A short drive from Bangkok's thriving metropolis, Lam Luk Ka sets the
stage for a golf experience not easily forgotten. Both courses meander
through Bangkok's wetlands, where over 10,000 trees and water ways
provide homes to over 100 species of birds and wildlife. After your
round, relax and take a swim overlooking the 10th, or enjoy a range of
Thai or international culinary delights in the clubhouse restaurant
overlooking the 18th.
This popular 36 hole course used Bangkok's early paddy-field courses as
its role model. It contains many wide fairways and large greens and a
lot of effort went into creating a pleasantly shaded atmosphere with
plenty of trees and shrubs. Accuracy - not power - is the key to this
course.
The Championship East Course places a premium
on driving the ball long and straight. Host of the 2002 Thailand PGA
Championship, Lam Luk Ka's East Course will punish errant golf shots,
but make for an enjoyable round if played from the somewhat friendlier
white tees. The back nine is considered one of the best in Thailand,
ending with a dramatic risk-reward Par 5. Lam Luk Ka's Championship East
Course remains one of Thailand's most challenging layouts. |

The Legacy Club
A very
popular course located within 30 minutes of Bangkok's downtown core on
the newly-opened Ramintra expressway, this Jack Nicklaus designed 18
hole course offers a tough test for all levels of player. Huge lakes
come into play on almost half the holes and at the 16th players have to
hit their approach to an island green. Putting surfaces are good, but
most of the greens are well guarded by deep bunkers.
The Legacy Club is the only Jack Nicklaus course
in Bangkok offers challenging golf with lots of bunkers and many water
hazards. Not for the beginner. Formerly known as Natural Park Ramindra.
Big clubhouse with newly renovated restaurant and bar. |

Muang Kaew Golf Club
Welcome to Muang Kaew, one of Thailand's best-kept
golfing secrets. We offer a challenging and superbly maintained 18 hole
golf course that is quietly tucked away from the noise, hustle and
bustle but still only 20 minutes from downtown Bangkok.
Muang Kaew Golf Course has been rated the
number one golf course in the country by the first edition of Thailand
Tatler's Complete Guide to Golf in Thailand. The architect has
masterfully designed Muang Kaew by making the maximum use of the natural
environment and greenspace. There are numerous challenging holes, all
set in a parkland environment with lakes and streams winding their way
through the golf course. Most holes are lined with a variety of mature
trees, which give the golf course its great ambience and challenging
play.
The clubhouse at Muang Kaew has also undergone
extensive improvements to the pro shop, lounge, restaurant and
recreational facilities, while new management systems have been brought
in to control both golf operations and F&B.

The
Vintage Club
Incorporating a glamorous clubhouse with swimming pools, tennis courts
and a fitness center, the 18-hole Vintage Club is located in pleasant
countryside about 30 minutes from central Bangkok and ten minutes off
the Bang-na Trad 28 km junction at Bang Phli. Although the course is
rather flat, its greens, water hazards and fairways are well-placed and
it is always in excellent condition.
The course is located in pleasant, open countryside and the terrain
is rather flat. Greens and fairways are in excellent condition. Water
comes into play on many holes. The par fives are perhaps the most
difficult holes on the course and require the player to 'to think out'
his shots. There is a fine clubhouse in addition to a swimming pool,
tennis courts and a fitness center.

Pinehurst Golf &
Country Club
A 45-minute drive from downtown Bangkok and 15
minutes past Don Muang lies one of the most famous courses in Thailand.
The 27 hole - South (the Meadow), North (the Lake) and West (Forest) -
Yoshihira Aihara designed course was host to the 1994 Thailand Open and
the 1992 Johnnie Walker Classic International Tournaments.
The North Course ('The Lakes') has many water hazards & resembles golf
courses typical of the United States. The South Course ('The Meadow')
features mounds and water hazards and is reminiscent of Scottish
courses. The West Course (the Forest) is notable for its profusion of
trees and shrubs. The luxurious clubhouse features fine dining, a pool
and sauna facilities. Pinehurst opened in 1988. 27 holes. Par 72. |
