Our Japan Unescorted program is an exciting and totally different concept designed for travelers who want to experience the best of Japan at their own pace.  Your tour includes a Japan Travel Aid (guide) on your first day in Tokyo to help you tailor-make your very own Japan expedition as well as to teach you all there is to know about traveling on your own in Japan.

• One way Tokyo / Kyoto Rail Tickets by Shinkansen (Bullet Train)

TOUR ITINERARY:

Day 1. Arrive Tokyo

Upon arrival at Narita Airport, proceed to Grand Pacific Le Daiba by airport limousine bus for three nights accommodation.

Day 2. Tokyo

Meet your Japan guide for an orientation and walking tour by subway, learning how to explore and enjoy Tokyo unescorted. Lunch at a local restaurant. (L) ***Note: Entrance fees to tourist sites (where applicable) at passengers' own expense***

Day 3. Tokyo

You are free to explore this fascinating cosmopolitan city on your own.

Day 4. Tokyo/Kyoto

Board a bullet train to Kyoto, ancient capital of Japan and the cradle of Japanese culture. Your accommodation for the next three nights is at Righa Royal Kyoto | Tokyu Hotel, located 5 minutes by car from Kyoto Station. ***Complimentary hotel shuttle available to/from Kyoto Station.***

Day 5 to 6. Kyoto

Steeped in history and tradition, there are over 2000 temples and shrines as well as the nearby Nara for you to explore.

Day 8. Return Home

Transfer to Osaka Airport (Itami or Kansai Airport) by shuttle van for your departure flight home.
