own pace. Your tour includes a Japan Travel Aid (guide) on your first
day in Tokyo to help you tailor-make your very own Japan expedition as well
as to teach you all there is to know about traveling on your own in Japan.

TOUR ITINERARY:
Day 1. Depart North America
Fly via All Nippon Airways. Cross
the International Dateline.
Day 2. Arrive Tokyo
Upon arrival, proceed to
Le Meridien Pacific
(First Class) OR Palace Hotel
(Deluxe) by airport limousine bus for next three nights
accommodation.
Day 3. Tokyo
Meet your Japan guide for an orientation and walking tour by
subway, learning how to explore and enjoy Tokyo unescorted.
Lunch at a local restaurant. (L)
Day 4. Tokyo
You are free to explore this fascinating cosmopolitan city on
your own.
Day 5. Tokyo/Matsumoto
Board the limited express to the castle town of Matsumoto.
Overnight accommodation at
Matsumoto Tokyu Inn (First Class) OR
Hotel Buena
Vista (Deluxe)
Free day to explore this and many nearby picturesque towns and
traditional villages.
Day 8. Takayama / Kanazawa:
Travel by commuter train to Toyama, transfer to the limited
express train to Kanazawa, a well preserved fortress town.

Day
9. Kanazawa
Day at leisure to explore the narrow streets and quaint tea
parlors or take an excursion to the Noto Peninsula.
Day 10. Kanazawa/Kyoto
Board a limited express train to Kyoto, ancient capital of Japan
and the cradle of Japanese culture. Your accommodation for the
next two nights is at

Kyoto

Day 11. Kyoto
Steeped in history and tradition, there are over 2000 temples
and shrines as well as nearby Nara for you to explore.
Day 12. Return Home
Transfer to the Airport by airport limousine bus for your flight
home.

Separate bus ticket (included in package) will be issued locally
in Japan.
