TOUR ITINERARY:
Day 1. Depart North America
Fly via All Nippon Airways. Cross the International Dateline.
Day 2. Arrive Tokyo
Upon arrival, proceed to
Shiba Park Hotel
(First Class) OR Palace Hotel
(Deluxe) by airport limousine bus for
next three nights accommodation.
Day 3. Tokyo
Meet your Japan guide for an orientation and walking tour by subway,
learning how to explore and enjoy Tokyo unescorted. Lunch at a local
restaurant. (L)
Day 4. Tokyo
You are free to explore this fascinating cosmopolitan city on your
own.
An excursion to Miyajima to visit the Itsukushima Jinja Shrine and its
"floating" torii gate is highly recommended.
Day 7. Hiroshima/Kurashiki
Take a train to the old granary town of Kurashiki. Wander the quaint
streets of the old town and step back into the past. Overnight
accommodation at Kurashiki Kokusai Hotel (First Class) OR

Day 8. Kurashiki/ Okayama
Board a commuter train to nearby
Okayama, site of one of Japan's most popular gardens. Overnight

Day 9. Okayama/Takamatsu
Board a JR Rapid train to Takamatsu on the island of Shikoku.

DAY 10. Takamatsu/Kyoto
Board a JR Rapid train to Okayama and
then change to a bullet train to Kyoto, ancient capital of Japan and
the cradle of Japanese culture. Your accommodation for the next two

Day 11. Kyoto
Steeped in history and tradition, there are over 2000 temples and
shrines as well as nearby Nara for you to explore.
Day 12. Return Home
