Experience Japan like no other
on this inspiring 14-day program that
combines Japan's most frequented spots and its hidden
treasures along its revered Setouchi Inland Sea region.
Your introduction to Japan begins by
touching down at the world's most modern city - Tokyo. Its
contrasts between the old and the new, the traditional and modern
makes Tokyo an exciting place for travelers to visit the
world over. Next, we take you to
Hakone,
home of the legendary Mt. Fuji and
famous for its natural
beauty, hot springs and outdoor recreation. Your journey continues
on to Kyoto, the ancient capital of Japan for more than a
thousand years, and
forever known for its history and culture, casting an image of
Old Japan where ancient Buddhist temples,
traditional wooden houses, and Kimono-wearing Maiko-sans abound
.
We then travel toward the coast along
Japan's spectacular Setouchi Inland Sea region. Starting with Okayama and
Kurashiki renowned for their tranquil seaside setting, Japanese
artistry, beautiful gardens, and of course, the impressive Okayama
Castle. Here, we enjoy a visit to Naoshima Island famous for its
contemporary art galleries and commanding views of the Inland Sea.
Continue on to the small island of Miyajima for a spiritual journey
of Isukushima Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where one can
witness the sacred "floating Torii Gate" that has
mesmerized locals and visitors alike. Next Hiroshima, a thriving city
that was completely rebuilt from ground-up since the 1940s renowned
for its Peace Memorial Park.
Last but not least, we fast-forward our time journey
to the vibrant port city of Osaka, a food haven that has earned
acclaimed title City of "Kuidaore", translated as
"Eat 'till you drop". In Osaka, you will find literally every
food under the sun from delicious street foods to fine cuisines from all
over the world. Osaka boasts an arsenal of historical landmarks,
shopping and entertainment that delights visitors of all ages.
