This inspiring Japan program takes you on a
time journey to retrace the remarkable Japanese civilization with visits to the Kingdom's revered UNESCO World Heritage Sites across seven alluring cities. Your introduction to Japan begins by
touching down at the world's most modern city - Tokyo. Its
contrasts between the old and the new, the traditional and modern
makes Tokyo an exciting place for travelers to visit the
world over. There, our guests will enjoy Tokyo's city sights and a fascinating
excursion to Nikko, a sacred, World Heritage Site famous for its
architectural and decorative masterpieces as well as its history of Takugawa
Shoguns.
Your Japan voyage
continues on to
Hakone,
where the majestic Mt. Fuji warmly welcomes the visitor with
its unsurpassed charm and stunning beauty;
followed by an spectacular
visit to Takayama,
a castle town of old
wooden houses standing side by side. Its lineal beauty,
highlighted by projecting lattice and eaves of uniform height,
instantly captivates the visitor. Next, we bring you to two
enchanting World
Heritage villages of Shirakawa-go and Gokayama as you journey toward
Kanazawa, home to one of Japan's three most beautiful
traditional gardens. Finally, your tour concludes in one of Japan's
ancient capitals, Kyoto, where you'll enjoy inspiring visits to the
Golden Pavilion, Nijo
Castle, Kyoto Imperial Palace Todaiji Temple and the Kasuga Shrine.
From Tokyo's bustling Ginza shopping district to
Shirakawa-go's rustic
wooden villages, Mt. Fuji's breathtaking panorama to Hakone's
soothing hot-springs, Kyoto's
ancient imperial architectures
to Kanazawa's Nagamachi Samurai Houses -- this is a journey
that goes beyond the imagination.
