Meticulously crafted, this 15days/13 nights expedition first takes you to Ho Chi Minh City, affectionately known as Saigon and the "Paris of the East", where its tasteful blend of colonial architectures, ancient traditions and cosmopolitan lifestyles never cease to delight the visitor.  Your time travel deepens with a journey southwest to the Mekong Delta region. Visit the Mekong River islands with their "monkey bridges", or makeshift footbridges built of uneven logs above the canals; followed by Can Tho, an important commercial center and river port of the Mekong that boasts a colorful floating market and ancient architectures. 

Crossing the border by boat into Phnom Penh after a short stay in Chau Doc, a riverside commercial center not far from the Cambodian border.  After your visit of Phnom Penh and its neighboring town of Kampong Cham, a lively port town with colonial-era architecture located along the Mekong River, a short flight takes you to the land of Laos.  From there, journey north from Vientiane along the Mekong River onto Vang Vieng, a small town nestled in a scenic bend in the Nam Song River lined with tunnels, caverns and beautiful limestone cliffs. Finally, enjoy a visit to the spectacular UNESCO World Heritage site of Luang Prabang, forever known for its golden temple spires, faded French colonial architecture and diverse hill tribes.

• When Trans-Pacific travel takes place on a weekend (Friday-Sunday), add $50 per person each direction.
