This unforgettable voyage begins with touching down on the planet's most vibrant and ultra-modern city -- Tokyo, a sanctuary of untold natural beauty, magnificent history and bustling city life. Its contrasts between the old and the new, the traditional and modern makes Tokyo an exciting place for travelers to visit the world over. Staying at the Keio Plaza Hotel, you will enjoy lavish comfort in the very heart of Japan's thriving capital. After a couple of days of remarkable sights, vivacious entertainment, and just pure excitement, it's time to get physical...  

Your quest for Fuji San begins at the 5th Station, the very point where the adventurer is unmistakably separated from the common tourist. Divided into three phases, you first embark on a 6-hour ascend to the 8th station, where you're joined by great camaraderie with like-minded active enthusiasts from around the globe. After a short rest in a rustic mountain hut, you advance in darkness on an overnight trek to the summit.  It is here where you witness the most spectacular sunrise of a lifetime. After your "breakfast over sunrise" followed by a challenging 4-hour descend to 5th Station, you are graciously rewarded to an Onsen experience at the Yamanakako Spa before returning to the Big City.

ITINERARY:

Day 1:  Depart U.S.A.

Depart U.S.A. for Tokyo via All Nippon Airways

Day 2:  Arrive Tokyo

Upon arrival, proceed to the KEIO PLAZA HOTEL  by airport limousine bus.

Day 3: Tokyo

This morning's tour visits Imperial Palace Plaza, Tokyo Tower, Asakusa Kannon Temple and Tasaki Pearl Gallery.  Enjoy the afternoon at your leisure.

Day 4: Mt. Fuji - 5th station - 8th station (D)

07:15 Assemble at Hotel Keio Plaza Tokyo in Shinjuku

11:30 Arrive at Mt.Fuji 5th station (Lunch on your own and prepare to climb)

12:30 Leave Mt.Fuji 5th station via kawaguchiko-Yoshidaguchi ascending route

18:00 Arrive at 8th station (2,910m). Short stay at TOYOKAN HUT ( Dinner and rest until 23:00 )

Day 5: Mt Fuji - 8th Station - Summit - 5th station (B)

 23:00 Leave Toyokan for summit with box breakfast

 04:00 Arrive at summit (Rising sun watching and breakfast break)

 05:30 Leave summit via kawaguchiko Yoshidaguchi descending route

 09:30 Arrive at 5th station (Lunch on your own and rest)

 13:00 Leave 5th station for Yamanakako Spa where you can relax at its onsen

 18:30 Arrive Tokyo. Accommodations at KEIO PLAZA HOTEL  

Day 6: Tokyo:

Free at leisure.  Many optional tours are available upon request.

Day 7: Depart Tokyo

 Transfer to the airport by Airport Limousine bus for your departure flight home.  Arrive home the same day.

• Tour operates on a seat-in-coach (join-in) basis

• When Trans-Pacific travel takes place on a weekend (Fri-Sun), add $50 per person each direction.

• U.S. & Foreign departure taxes, fees and fuel surcharges are not included (Approx. $600)
