Your Myanmar voyage begins in Yangon, Myanmar's charming capital, also known as the Garden City of the East. Its unmistakably colonial style buildings, open markets and wide tree-lined avenues endow it with a strange mix of old world charm and modern vitality. The highlight of the cityscape is the famous Shwedagon Pagoda, the world's largest and most impressive Buddhist pagoda. We then bring you to Bagan, birthplace of the Myanmar civilization and the largest archaeological site in Asia, home to more than 5000 pagodas.

Then, continue on to Mandalay, a city more distinguished and self-confident than any other city in Myanmar,  providing a unique mixture of old and new. This spiritual centre boasts numerous old wooden monasteries and unique pagodas that date back to life under the reign of Myanmar's last King. Next, prepare yourself to an unforgettable experience to Inle Lake, a place indescribable by words, with villages of bamboo and wooden dwellings situated in the midst of the lake, perched on stilts, and boats being the sole means of transport. Overnight at an enchanting bungalow-style resort built on stilts each furnished with balconies overlooking the lake.

TOUR ITINERARY:

Day 1. Upon arrival in Yangon, transfer to Traders Hotel (Superior) OR Governors Residence (Deluxe) Dinner at a local restaurant. (D)

Day 2. Fly to Bagan. Transfer to Thiripyitsaya Hotel (Superior) OR Aureum Palace (Deluxe). Sightseeing tour of Bagan includes visits to Thatbyinnyu, Ananda, Shwegugyi Pagodas, Nathlaung Kyaung Hindu Temple and Bupaya Stupa. Then enjoy the fabulous sunset view over the Bagan Temples from Shwesandaw Pagoda. Dinner at River View Restaurant. (B,L,D)

Day 3. Fly to Mandalay. Transfer to Mandalay Hill Resort (Superior) OR Rupar Mandalar Resort (Delxue) This afternoon visit the the Shwenandaw, Kuthodaw and Mahamuni Pagodas , then proceed to Amarapura to visit Pahtodawgyi Pagoda, the palace ruins and the U-Bein’s teak bridge. This evening, enjoy the sunset view from Mandalay Hill. Dinner at a local restaurant. (B,L,D)

Day 4. Fly to Heho. Upon arrival, transfer to Taunggyi to visit the local market, then proceed to Inle Lake. Dinner and accommodations at Inle Lakeview Resort. (B,L,D)

Day 5. Morning boat trip on Inle Lake includes visits to Phaung Da Oo Pagoda, the floating Gardens, the Jumping Cats Monastery. After lunch, transfer to Heho Airport for your flight back to Yangon. Transfer to Traders Hotel (Superior) OR Governors Residence (Deluxe) and enjoy dinner at your hotel. (B,L,D)

Day 6. Morning tour visits Shwedagon Pagoda, the National Museum and Bogyoke Market (if time permits). Then transfer to the airport for departure. (B)
