Tana Toraja, (Toraja Land) which lies in the north of the province is known for its unique culture and ancient traditions. The entry to Tana Toraja is marked by a gate built in traditional boat-shaped architecture. The road passes through the mountains of Kandora and Gandang on which, according to Toraja mythology, the first ancestors of celestial beings descended from heaven.

This exotic Tana Toraja adventure offers an uncommon cultural experience to this timeless civilization, where the majority of the people still follow an ancestral cult called "Aluk Todolo" which governs all traditional ceremonies. Our tour includes visits to the area's magnificent  grave sites, traditional villages and scenic landmarks.

TOUR ITINERARY:

Day 1. Upon arrival in Ujung Pandung, transfer to Tana Toraja. Visit Bantimurung Waterfall and Enrekang. Take a boat trip on the Sadang River. Accommodations at hotels listed below. (L,D)

Day 2. Full-day sightseeing includes Lemo, Suayan and Sangalia. Also visit Ketekesu, Londa and Palawa. (B,L,D)

Day 3. Transfer to Ujung Pandung for your departure flight. (B)
