Our Thai Heritage program features an incredible journey to Thailand's signature destinations, offering our guests a wide variety of the kingdom's exotic culture, scenic beauty, fascinating outdoors recreations and fabulous entertainment.

Your introduction to this magical kingdom begins with Bangkok, a vibrant international city with a tasteful blend of East and West, dazzling landmarks and boundless entertainment -- from gourmet restaurants and space age nightclubs to colorful night markets and hip bars. We then bring you to the ancient cities of Phitsanulok and Sukhothai, home to a few of Thailand's greatest historical landmarks and ancient temples. Next, destination Chiang Mai, a city with a beautiful cultural personality blessed with majestic natural beauty,  where our guests enjoy a memorable experience to a local elephant camp, embark on elephant rides and river rafting, and visit a primitive hilltribe village that has endured the test of time.

Finally, arrive by road to Chiang Rai. A warm reception invites our guests on an invigorating Mai Kok River excursion, where visitors can admire Northern Thailand's alluring countryside aboard a long-tail riverboat and atop a giant elephant, followed by cultural visits to several timeless hilltribe villages. A visit to the Golden Triangle takes you to a place where the borders of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos converge, and a region forever known for its opium production and drug trafficking, sourcing over half the world’s illegal heroin.

TOUR ITINERARY:

Day 1. Upon arrival, transfer to Landmark Hotel

Day 2. Depart early this morning for a floating market tour. Also visit Nakhon Pathom and the Rose Garden. (B,L)

Day 3. A morning tour of the Royal Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. (B)

Day 4. Fly to Phitsanulok. Transfer to hotel in Sukhothai, stop at Wat Phra Sriratana Mahathat enroute. Overnight and dinner at Sukhothai Heritage Hotel. (B,D)

Day 5. This morning, visit Phra Chinarat, Srisatchanalai and Lampang Luang before driving to Chiang Mai. Lunch enroute. Accommodations at Ayatana Hamlet Resort . (B,L)

Day 6. A full day tour visiting Chiang Dao Young Elephant Camp to see the elephants at work with an elephant ride and river rafting, also visit ancient Chiang Dao shrine-cave; Meo hilltribe village; Mae Ngad dam and an Orchid Nursery. Local lunch is included. This evening enjoy a Khantoke dinner and hilltribe show. (B,L,D)

Day 7. Travel north to Chiang Rai and the Golden Triangle today. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat ride on Mae Kok River, stopping at Karen Hilltribe Village. Accommodations at The Legend Resort . (B,L)

Day 8. A full day tour takes you to the Yao Hilltribe Village. Visit Mae Sai, a jade factory. After lunch, drive to the Golden Triangle Area and visit Chiang Saen on the bank of the Mekong River before returning to the hotel. (B,L)

Day 9. Transfer to the airport for your departure flight. (B)
