Kunming, an ancient cultural city, also known as "the City of Perpetual Spring", is the capital of Yunnan situated 6,213 feet above sea level with an annual average temperature of 58 F^o. It is a place were 26 ethnic cultures have come together over many centuries. Known for its remarkable Stone Forest, mild climate, beautiful plateau landscape, and ethnic folklore, Kunming never ceases to delight visitors with each passing day. 

Next, embark on an inspiring time journey to Zhongdian, a land so stunningly beautiful they call it Shangri-la. At an altitude of 10,000 feet, this "lost horizon" is located between Yunnan & Tibet hidden in lush meadows and snow mountains famed for its breathtaking landscape, timeless Tibetan culture and centuries-old monasteries. TOUR ITINERARY:

Day 1. Upon arrival at Kunming, you'll be met and transferred to Bank Hotel OR Grand Park Hotel.

Day 2.  A full day excursion to the remarkable Stone Forest with towering peaks of bizarre shaped limestone which stretches out over 200 acres. (B,L)

Day 3. Fly to Zhongdian. Upon arrival, commence brief sightseeing of the city before transferring to Holy Palace Hotel. Lunch and dinner are served at local restaurants. (B,L,D)

Day 4. Full day excursion to Bitahai (Emerald Pagoda Lake), Songzanlin Monastery & Bai Shui Tai (White Water Terraces) with lunch at a local restaurant. (B,L)

Day 5. Proceed by road to Lijiang. En-route visit Tiger Leaping Gorge with lunch at a local restaurant. Check-in at Jiannanchun hotel, located in the heart of the Old City. (B,L)

Day 6. Enjoy a morning tour of Black Dragon Pond followed by a visit to a local Naxi Minority Village. Lunch at a local restaurant and balance of the day at your leisure to relax, shop or explore the Old City on your own. (B,L)
