 8 Days / 7 Nights  – Tour Code (YPM)

Land Only – Departs Daily

Our Myanmar Highlights package features an unforgettable journey to the former Burmese Kingdom, a land of enchantment that offers a heavy dose of its timeless culture, scenic beauty and awe-inspiring relics of Myanmar’s storied past. Nowhere on the planet is there more magic and mystery in the air than in Myanmar. To this day, Myanmar remains one of the most undiscovered destinations in the world. A land of breathtaking beauty, deep-rooted spirituality, and the warmest, purest and friendliest people, that rewards the visitor with a lifetime of memories and life-changing perspectives.

Your Myanmar voyage begins in Yangon, the former Burmese Capital dubbed the “Garden City of the East”. Its unmistakably colonial style buildings, shimmering pagodas, open markets and wide tree-lined avenues endow it with a strange mix of old world charm and modern vitality. Next up: Bagan, a small city of just 50,000 today, it was the birthplace of Burmese civilization and the capital of the Kingdom of Pagan from the 9th to 13th centuries which unified the regions that would later constitute modern Myanmar. Today, Bagan is revered for its spectacular array of 3,000+ ancient pagodas, temples and palaces representative of centuries of architecture, culture and religion – all within an area of just 40 square miles. No matter the interest, no matter the traveler, Bagan never ceases to impress.

Next, prepare yourself for one of the most unique travel experiences the world over with a journey to Myanmar’s Inle Lake; a place indescribable by words – with primitive villages perched on stilts atop its tranquil waters, the patient Intha fisherman combing through the calm waters for small fish using his conical net and masterful rowing technique, and stunning landscape at every turn dotted with wooded boats and rare species of birds that wows the layman and most seasoned photographer alike. Here, spend two nights in complete awe and relaxation at an enchanting bungalow-style resort built on stilts before returning to civilization. We conclude this time journey in Mandalay, a city more distinguished and self-confident than any other city in Myanmar,  providing a unique mixture of old and new. This spiritual centre boasts numerous old wooden monasteries and unique pagodas that date back to life under the reign of Myanmar’s last King.
