China - Luxury Travel

Catch a glimpse of China’s past and present on this unforgettable tour featuring Shanghai, Wuzhen Ancient Watertown, Hangzhou and Beijing. Here you will spend seven memorable nights to sample China’s old and new — admiring millennia-old landmarks, marveling breathtaking skylines, and time travel to one of China’s oldest and most beautiful ancient watertowns.

Your introduction of China touches down upon one of the planet’s most modern, yet historically significant cities. Shanghai, a shopping, gourmet and entertainment Mecca that has the world at your fingertips. Highlights here include Shanghai Museum showcasing relics from centuries past across China’s great dynasties; Urban Planning & Exhibition Center depicting Shanghai’s past, present and future; Old Town and its Yu Garden, a “must-see” majestic classical garden inspired by the Ming and Qing Dynasties; The Bund, an emblem of Shanghai, with a riverfront promenade along the eastern side offering a captivating view of the city’s skyline; and the eclectic Tianzifang Art District, also known as the SOHO of Shanghai famous for its Shikumen houses dating to the 1800s tastefully lined with art galleries, shops, restaurants and cafes.

Next, we journey back in time to the ancient watertown of Wuzhen that dates back over 1300 years – a hidden gem known to a very few and awarded one of China’s Top Ten Historical & Cultural towns. Explore the labyrinth of quaint alleyways, beautiful courtyards and tranquil canals by foot or by sampan, sip your tea or enjoy a glass of wine at a canal-side tea house, or stroll through the water village’s cobbled streets in total bliss and relaxation. Wuzhen offers the visitor a unique and memorable experience unlike anywhere else. Next up, Hangzhou, described as the “City of Heaven” by Marco Polo in the 13th Century, Hangzhou is famed for its numerous legends and scenic beauty. Here, we visit the impressive Lingyin Temple and take a boat ride on the famous West Lake before moving on to our next destination.

Last but not least, Beijing. China’s ancient capital that boasts some of the most remarkable structures known to mankind. We visit to Forbidden City, the imperial palace for the Ming and Qing dynasties built in 1420; Summer Palace, a grand imperial palace and a royal garden of the Qing Dynasty built in the sixteenth century; Tian’anmen Square, the largest city square in the world and a symbol of New China; Temple of Heaven, the largest temple compound and one of the most strictly protected and preserved cultural heritages of China; Beijing’s Old Quarters, or Hutongs, that showcases the China’s traditional way-of-life including a visit to a local family’s residence; and of course, the magnificent Great Wall of China, the symbol of Ancient Chinese civilization built two millenniums ago.

Your most memorable China vacation awaits.
