A Private Luxury Journey of Thailand – Bangkok – The Golden Triangle – Chiang Mai – Phuket

Day 1 Bangkok
Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to BANGKOK ORIENTAL for your next 4 nights’ accommodations.

Day 2 Bangkok
Enjoy a full day tour of Bangkok city beginning with the impressive Royal Grand Palace with its Emerald Buddha followed by visits to Wat Trimit (Golden Buddha) and Wat Pho (Reclining Buddha). After a Thai lunch at a select local restaurant, explore the Klongs (canals) of the Chayo Phraya by long tailed boat. Visit the Royal Barge Museum and the Wat Arun (Temple of dawn). Afterwards, proceed to Bangkok’s colorful flower market followed by a visit of Golden Mountain. In the evening, enjoy a sensational dining experience with a multi-course European Dinner at Banyan Tree Hotel’s Vertigo roof-top restaurant, Bangkok’s tallest fine dining establishment overlooking Thailand’s glittering capital. Day 3 Bangkok (Floating Market)
Today’s tour takes you to the world renown Floating Market where for over a hundred years, villagers transport their agricultural products by canals to the center of trading at Damnoen Saduak. This incredible network is a labyrinth of almost two hundreds branched canals lined with ancient Thai wooden houses and colorfully decorated by small wooden boats that contain fresh fruits and vegetables. Afterwards, visit the “Train Market” where local vendors line the train tracks, quickly dispersing and reassembling as trains come and go. Return to Bangkok in the afternoon and enjoy the balance of the day at leisure. (B)

Day 4 Bangkok (Ayuthaya)
Today’s memorable excursion begins with a river cruise to the ancient Siam Capital of Ayuthaya, one of Thailand’s historical and majestic highlights. Serving as the Thai capital for 417 years (1350-1767: Kingdom of Ayutthaya), it was once glorified as one of the biggest cities in the world and a Southeast Asia center for civilizations. Visit Bang Pa-in (Summer Palace) and ruins of the Ancient City of Ayuthaya. Return to Bangkok by car. (B,L)

Day 5 Bangkok / Chiang Rai / Golden Triangle
Transfer to the airport for your morning flight to Chiang Rai. Upon arrival, enjoy an excursion by long-tail boat along the Mae Kok River through unspoiled mountainous landscapes followed by elephant trekking. Visit a Karen and a Lahu Hilltribe Village. Transfer to GOLDEN TRIANGLE ANANTARA. This afternoon, enjoy a 2-hour spa session (part of all-inclusive program at Anantara) before dinner at the hotel’s Baan Dahlia Fine Italian Restaurant. (B,D)

Day 6 Golden Triangle
Free at leisure to choose from one of Anantara’s fascinating activities such as Thai Cooking Lesson, Elephant Mahout Experience and 3-Countries Tour, as part of your all-inclusive program. Lunch and dinner are served at the resort. Return to your hotel in the afternoon (B,L,D)

Day 7 Golden Triangle / Chiang Mai
Today, enjoy a scenic drive to Chiang Mai with a visit to the stunning and eclectic “White Temple”, en-route. Upon checking in at the luxurious Dhara Dhevi Resort & Spa. After some time to relax and enjoy the resort,  embark on a night foodies tour of Chiang Mai and sample some of the most tasty treats the city has to offer. Our first stop is at the legendary Warorot market where you will have the opportunity to explore the market and take in some of the local flavors. Afterward, head to the outer environs of the city to sample the quintessential Northern Thailand dish Kao Soi. Enjoy a stroll of the night market before returning to your hotel. (B)

Day 9 Chiang Mai
This morning, enjoy a tour of Chiang Mai City visit the Old City, local markets and temples including Wat Phra Sinh and Wat Chedi Luang. Afterward, travel up the mountain to the Sacred Temple of Doi Suthep. Return to your resort in the afternoon and enjoy the balance of the day at leisure to relax and participate in the various activities Dhara Dhevi has to offer. (B)

Day 9 Chiang Mai
Full day free at leisure to relax and explore Chiang Mai on your own. Optional tours (cooking lesson, whitewater rafting, hill tribe trek, etc.) are available upon request. (B)

Day 10 Chiang Mai / Phuket
Transfer to the airport for your flight to beautiful Phuket. Upon arrival, transfer to THE ANANTARA PHUKET. Balance of day at leisure and enjoy a spa treatment included in your package. Tonight, enjoy a romantic dinner at the resorts’ La Sala restaurant. (B,D)

Day 11 Phuket (Phang Nga Bay)
Enjoy a full day of beautiful Phang Nga Bay on board the June Bahtra Siamese Junk. Visit the famous James Bond Island and explore mangrove forests, a sea cave and a se gypsy village. Enjoy swimming in the afternoon before returning to your hotel. A buffet lunch is served on board. Day 12 Phuket
Enjoy a full day at leisure to relax in the tranquil setting of the resort or explore the beautiful tropical island on your own. (B)

Day 13 Phuket / Bangkok
Transfer to the airport for your return flight to Bangkok. (B)
