TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1. Arrive Beijing
Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to Park Plaza Beijing. Enjoy the afternoon and evening in the bustling city of Beijing at your leisure.

Day 2. Beijing
Today’s city tour includes the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace, the Temple of Heaven and Tiananmen Square. Enjoy a Peking Duck dinner in the evening. (B,L,D)

Day 3. Beijing / Badaling (5 km)
We begin the day with a drive to the Great Wall at Badaling, the Wall’s most famous and best restored section. Commence your Great Wall expedition by embarking a 3-hour trek to Shuiguan, a rare architecture used as a strategic defense mechanism using water against invaders during the Ming Dynasty. Return to Beijing and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. (B,L,D)

Day 4. Jinshanling / Gubeikou (12 km)
This morning depart for the Great Wall at Jinshanling by road located about 140 km northeast of Beijing. Enjoy an invigorating 4-5 hour trek, starting with a hike along twisting mountain roads through nearby isolated villages followed by an undulating path along the Great Wall to Gubeikow. Overnight at JINSHANLING LODGE or Similar. (B,L,D)

Day 5. Jinshanling / Simitai (12 km)
After breakfast, we begin a full day of trekking to Simitai. This expedition boasts spectacular scenery and covers 32 watchtowers along steep mountain slopes in the northern border of Beijing. You will enjoy spectacular mountain ranges with China on one side and Mongolia on the other. This stretch at Simatai retains the original look of the Great Wall built during the Ming Dynasty. We descend down to the small town of Simatai for an overnight stay at WULINSHAN HOTEL or Similar. (B,L,D) 

Day 6. Mutianyu / Beijing (10 km)
Drive to Mutianyu in the morning and enjoy a panoramic cable car ride to the top of the wall. We conclude our trekking adventure with a hike along the Wall at Mutianyu. The highlight of the day is the steep ascend up the Heavenly Stairway to a high viewing vista. Once there, you can admire stunning panorama of the vast and endless Great Wall of China. Transfer back to Beijing in the afternoon. Overnight at the Park Plaza Beijing. (B,L,D) 

Day 7. Depart Beijing
Transfer to the airport for your departure flight. (B)
