TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1. Arrive Bali
Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your resort for your next 4 nights’ accommodations.

Day 2. Bali (Tanah Lot Floating Temple & Monkey Forest)
Morning at leisure. This afternoon, enjoy sightseeing of the Royal Temple at Mengwi, Monkey Forest at Sangeh, and the “floating Temple” of Tanah Lot. (B)

Day 3. Bali (Nature, Culture & Active Volcano)
Today’s tour showcases Bali’s natural, cultural, and artistic aspects for which this exotic island is famous. Beginning with a stop at the village of Batubulan, we attend a cultural performance of Barong and Keris Dance, which depicts the story of the eternal battle between the good and the evil. Proceed to the artisan villages of Celuk, Mas and Ubud, known as the center of Balinese gold and silver jeweler industry, wood carvings and art paintings respectively. Drive up through rural villages and vast area of beautifully terraced rice fields in Tegal Lalang and drive by hundreds of village temples before a visit is made at the 17th century holy-spring Gunung Kawi temple at Sebatu. Enjoy a cool break at the mountain village of Kintamani with its cool breeze and breathtaking vista of the still-active Mount Batur and its crater-lake. On the way back, visit the Elephant Cave at Bedulu, and be amazed by this ancient holy sight – a former hermitage for Buddhist monks, who used to meditate in small rooms deep inside the cave. The last stop today is at the “monkey forest” to see Ubud’s cheekiest inhabitants – the macaque monkeys! Groups of these fascinating monkeys live in the shaded forest, where they roam freely, jumping from tree to tree. (B,L)
