Japan is Mystical

Nowhere else in the world offers more striking contrasts than Japan – the old and the new, the traditional and the modern, the icebergs and the tropics. Japan boasts some of the most unique vacation experiences that cater to just about every traveler of every interest – from the romantic to the thrill-seeker to the culturally inspired. Climb the sacred Mount Fuji that has inspired artists, poets and pilgrims alike for centuries with its snow-capped summit and picturesque surroundings. Immerse in the Japan of old by spending an enchanting evening at a Ryokan of classical zen gardens, invigorating onsens and over-the-top hospitality. Trace the footsteps of the great Edo period as you stroll through Kyoto’s Gion District of cobbled alleyways, wooden homes, and if you’re lucky, the occasional Geisha sighting. Visit any of the thousands of inspiring temples, shrines or castles and catch a glimpse of Japan’s impressive history and masterful architectures. Our handcrafted Japan vacations overload the senses.

Japan is Unique, Exhilarating

For the visitor, just about every corner promises something unique and exciting. From Tokyo’s Sky Tree, Japan’s latest architectural marvel boasting the tallest free-standing broadcasting tower in the world, that rewards the patron with sweeping views of the capital’s skyline, to the superfast, highly efficient, always on time Shinkansen (bullet train) that criss-crosses the country at 200 miles per hour. From its fantasy-like pop culture of quirky fashion and anime obsession, to the tales of Edo Japan’s esteemed Samurai Warriors and Bushido code. From alpine skiing in Nagano, to relaxing in a soothing onsen in Gero, to sun bathing in Okinawa’s Emerald Beach. Japan never ceases to amaze.

Japan is Fun, Eclectic

Last but certainly not least, Japan is Fun. Few places boast a wider array of dining, shopping and nonstop entertainment options than Japan. For the foodie, traveling to Japan for the food alone is enough to warrant the trip. Treat yourself to the freshest of sashimi at one of Tsukiji Market’s fantastic sushi stalls, sample mouthwatering local cuisine at a Yakitori joint or Izakaya pub in Osaka, or try a delectable grilled oyster at the street stand of your liking on Miyajima Island’s bustling Omotesando Shopping Street. For the avid shopper, Japan is paradise with its numerous colorful open air shopping arcades, mega shopping centers and everything in between. Stroll the streets of Harajuku to catch a glimpse of Japan’s latest fashion and anime-themed cafes, splurge or window shop in Akihabara’s electric town that sports the newest electronic gadgets on the planet, or shop till you drop at Osaka’s Dotonburi district that offers just about anything under the sun. Take one of our multi-faceted Japan tours covering the country’s north and south, or design your own itinerary with some free time to blaze your own off-the-beaten path. Japan delights all.

Besides shopping, eating and temple hopping, there are yet plenty of exciting entertainment options for all ages. Visit Odaiba and take a ride on the “Big O”, a giant Ferris wheel that stands 115 meters tall above Tokyo Bay. Travel back in time and experience a day in the life of a Samurai or Ninja at the Edo Wonderland in Nikko. Take part in a sushi-making lesson to bring home Japan’s culinary secrets. Watch a baseball game at Yomiruri Giants’ Tokyo Dome or check out an action-packed sumo wrestling match. Experience Japan in ways that go beyond the imagination.
