This ten-day private tour features an incredible journey to China’s signature tourist destinations: Beijing, Xian, Guilin and Shanghai.

Your introduction to China begins with two of China’s greatest ancient capitals — Beijing & Xian, where our guests will experience first-hand a few of China’s legendary landmarks and national treasures, including the Forbidden City, the Great Wall, and the tomb of Emperor Qin Shihuang, home of the infamous Terracotta Warriors.

Next up: Guilin, where the region’s picturesque scenery has inspired many Chinese poets and artists for centuries. Be prepared to be mesmerized by Guilin’s scenic beauty as you embark on a riverboat journey along the Li River to the artistically inspired village of Yangshuo. Last but certainly not least, touch down in China’s most vibrant metropolis: Shanghai, the most modern, yet historically significant city in China. It is a world-renowned shopping, gourmet and entertainment paradise with a skyline that is out of this world.

TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1. Arrive Beijing:
Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to Park Plaza Beijing Hotel (Superior) OR The Regent Beijing (Deluxe).

Day 2. Beijing:
Today’s city tour includes the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace, the Temple of Heaven and Tiananmen Square. Lunch is served at a local restaurant. (B,L)

Day 3. Beijing:
Today, visit the spectacular Mutianyu section of the Great Wall with cable car ride. After lunch at a local restaurant, return to Beijing City and enjoy a tour of its Old Quarters (Hutongs) by rickshaw, visiting a local family residence and the Bell & Drum Tower. This evening, enjoy a Peking Duck Dinner, followed by a Legends of Kung Fu Show. (B,L,D)

Day 4. Beijing / Xian:
Fly to Xian. Enjoy brief city sightseeing of Xian (time permitting), followed by transfer to Sofitel Xian Renmin Square (Deluxe) OR The Westin Xian (Deluxe). (B)

Day 5. Xian:
Full-day tour includes visits to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Terracotta Warriors Museum. This evening enjoy a Tang Dynasty dinner and cultural show. (B,L,D)

Day 6. Xian / Guilin:
Fly to Guilin. Enjoy brief city sightseeing (time permitting) before being transferred to Shangri-la Guilin.* This evening, enjoy an international buffet dinner at your hotel, followed by a Cormorant Night Fishing Excursion (weather & local conditions permitting). (B,D)

Day 7. Guilin (Li River Cruise / Yangshuo)
A full-day tour takes you on a cruise down the Li River. Upon disembarkation, enjoy a stroll through the colorful artisan village of Yangshuo, followed by sightseeing of nearby farms and villages amid spectacular countryside scenery. Includes lunch at a local restaurant. (B,L)

Day 9. Guilin / Shanghai:
Fly to Shanghai. Transfer to New World Shanghai Hotel (Superior) OR Hyatt-on-the-Bund (Deluxe) and enjoy the balance of the afternoon at leisure. (B)

Day 9. Shanghai:
Full-day city sightseeing of Shanghai features the Old Town and its Yu Garden, Urban Planning & Exhibition Center, the Bund, Shanghai Museum and the art district of Tianzifang, famed for its Old Shanghai Shikumen houses in a laid back atmosphere with cobbled streets lined with art galleries, cafes and restaurants. Lunch is served at a local restaurant. This evening, enjoy a breathtaking Shanghai Acrobatics Performance. (B,L)

Day 10. Depart Shanghai:
Transfer to the airport for your departure flight onward. (B)
