TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1. Arrive Bali
Upon arrival in Bali, transfer to your resort in Bali. 

Day 2. Bali (Ubud, Lake Batur)
Today’s excursion journeys through the interior of the island. Visit Ubud, a quaint artist colony in a vibrant setting lined with colorful shops, art galleries and roadside restaurants. Here, enjoy a stroll around town including a visit to Ubud Palace and nearby Ubud Monkey Forest, a lush sanctuary inhabited by hundreds of playful long-tailed macaques complemented with sacred temples and ancient carvings and statues. Continue north to Bedugul Regency, renowned for its stunning beauty and three caldera lakes (Beratan, Buyan and Tamblingan). Visit the market at Candi Kuning before arriving at the iconic Ulun Danu Temple, a 7th Century Hindu water temple located on a small jut of land within the calm waters of Lake Beratan. After lunch, journey south to the spectacular rice terraces at Jatiluwih. A UNESCO World Heritage site, these seemingly endless rice paddies offer superb vistas in all directions. Enjoy time for a leisurely hike through the terraces before returning to your resort. (B,L)

Day 3. Bali
Full day at leisure in Paradise to relax and explore beautiful Bali on your own. (B)

Day 4. Bali / Yogyakarta (Borobudur Temple)
Fly to Yogyakarta. Transfer to your hotel in Jogya. This afternoon visit the spectacular Borobudur Temple, a masterpiece of ancient Buddhist heritage blending history, spirituality, and unparalleled beauty. (B)

Day 5. Yogyakarta (Sultan’s Palace)
Begin your day at the Sultan’s Palace, the seat of Javanese royalty, renowned for its impressive architecture and cultural traditions. Continue to the Sono-budoyo Museum, home to an extensive collection of Javanese artifacts and classical art that illuminate the region’s rich history. Afterwards, observe traditional batik-making and silverwork demonstrations in Kotagede, showcasing centuries-old craftsmanship. (B)

Day 6. Yogyakarta / Surabaya / Bromo
Transfer for your flight to Surabaya. Upon arrival, be met and proceed by road to Wonotoro, a small village 2,000 metres above sea level and the gateway to spectacular Mount Bromo. Check in at your resort where dinner is served. (B,D)

Day 7. Bromo / Surabaya
With its huge crater and almost mystical-like scenery in all directions, Mount Bromo and its surrounds are stunning beyond question. Sunrise is the most magical time to view the entire Bromo landscape but this does involve a very early morning start of 3am as you travel by private jeep to the rim of Mount Penanjakan in time for dawn. After witnessing a spectacular sunrise (weather permitting), you will return to your jeep and make the steep descent back down to the bottom of the volcano and then cross the Laotian Pasir (Sand Sea) to the base of Mount Bromo itself. Transfer to Surabaya Airport for your departure flight onward. (B)
