Day 2 Ubud
After a leisurely breakfast, enjoy a light trek along Campuhan Ridge, arguably one of the best trekking routes around Ubud. It boasts awesome views of the stratovolcanic mountain Gunung Agung and glimpses of small village communities and rice fields. En-route, visit a Balinese compound, where you can learn about traditional house building and a get chance to interact with the local people. After lunch, take a tour of charming Ubud town starting with Ubud Palace, where the royal family still resides. Continue to the nearby Ubud Market, a colorful marketplace boasting a wide range of items including clothing, textiles, leather goods and locally designed jewelry. Next, visit Ubud Monkey Forest, a lush nature reserve and temple complex on the outskirts of Ubud. The forest is home to more than one hundred species of trees, a number of interesting temples and hundreds of crab-eating macaque monkeys. Return to your hotel and enjoy the balance of the afternoon at leisure.  (B,L)

Day 3 Ubud (Central Bali by Bike and by Foot)
Today’s adventure begins at Kintamani, a stunning starting point with views (weather permitting) over the active volcano Mount Batur, Lake Batur, and the surrounding landscape of Central Bali. Enjoy a downhill bike ride through the colorful tapestry that is the Balinese countryside, passing traditional Balinese villages, local temples, and stunning rice terraces along the way. Visit Tegalalang town’s art market before enjoying a Balinese lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, continue your exploration of the region on foot with a light trek through the lush river valley of Tukad Wos, with glimpses of small village communities and the beautiful Gunung Lebah Temple. Return to your resort in Ubud. (B,L)

Note: For those who prefer a less active/cultural immersion experience, the above tour may be replaced with an excursion to Subak Guliang, Pura Kehen and Penglipuran, featuring farm village visits and Pura Kehan Temple.

Day 4 Ubud / Bedugul / Munduk
This morning, journey north to Bedugul Regency District, the island’s central highlands renowned for its stunning beauty and three caldera lakes (Beratan, Buyan and Tamblingan). Visit the Botanical Garden, which covers an area of  150+ hectares and is home to some 2,000 species of plants. Highlights here include Fern Garden, Cacti greenhouse and the Aquatic Garden. After a picnic lunch in the gardens, visit the regional market at Candi Kuning. Continue north to the iconic Ulun Danu Temple. This important Hindu Shivaite water temple is located on a small jut of land within the calm waters of Lake Beratan, giving the illusion that this 17th century temple is ‘floating’ on the lake. Next, embark on an easy trek on a wooden boardwalk over a small gorge and cool streams to the popular Gitgit Waterfall, followed by a visit to the village of Asah Gobleg for spectacular views of Lake Buyan and Lake Tamblingan (weather permitting). Check in at your resort nestled in the jungles of Munduk Moding Coffee Plantation. (B,L)

Day 5 Munduk (Lake Tamblingan)
Morning drive to Lake Tamblingan. Begin the day with a gentle trek down through the tropical rainforest that surrounds this attractive pool of water. Admire the flora and fauna and take in the clean mountain air as you hike through a region that has remained at one with nature for many centuries. Upon reaching the shore of the lake, continue your journey by boat in a traditional dug-out canoe. Enjoy lunch amid splendid views of the Munduk Hills and Seririt Beach. Return to your resort and enjoy the balance of the afternoon at leisure. (B,L)

Day 6 Munduk (Plantation Walk) / West Bali National Park
After a leisurely breakfast at the resort, soak up the plantation’s serene natural beauty on a 1.5 hour trek amid lush jungle and beautiful flora. Afterward, journey west by road to West Bali National Park. Located on the northwest coast of the island and covering an area of approximately 190 square kilometers, the park is known for its diverse habitat including savanna, mangrove swamps and coral islands. Check in at your resort inside the national park and enjoy the balance of the afternoon at leisure. Includes lunch at a local restaurant. (B,L)

Day 7 West Bali National Park (Snorkeling & Relaxation)
Situated approximately 8 km off the northwest tip of Bali, the uninhabited island of Menjangan has one of the best-preserved coral reefs in the area. Leaving directly from the resort, you will be transported by boat to this idyllic spot for snorkeling, swimming and relaxing. With excellent underwater visibility ranging from 15 to 50 meters, you’ll get a chance to discover all kinds of marine life, including pygmy seahorses, snappers and even reef sharks. If you are lucky, you may spot wild deer swimming across to the island from the mainland. A box lunch is served on the boat.  Return to your resort and enjoy the balance of the day at leisure. (B,L)

Day 8 West Bali National Park / Yeh Gangga
Morning at leisure to relax and enjoy the park. Upon checkout, visit Pulaki Temple. Ornate in design and built in the 16th Century, this place of worship is built predominately from black granite and is home to several species of Macaque monkeys. Continue south by road (approx 3 hours) along the island’s west coast to Yeh Gangga, stopping for lunch at a local restaurant along the way. Check in at your resort located on a pristine black-sand beach, where a warm welcome and a spectacular sunset await. (B,L)

Day 9 Yeh Gangga (Countryside tour by Land Rover)
This morning, jump into a Land Rover for an off-road adventure through the picturesque countryside surrounding Gunung Batukaru, Bali’s second-highest mountain. Highlights today include the seemingly endless UNESCO-recognized rice terraces at Jatiluwih, off-the-grid local villages, and the dramatically located 11th century Hindu temple of Batukaru. Lunch is served at a local restaurant. Overnight in Yeh Gangga. (B,L)

Day 10 Yeh Gangga / Sanur
Morning departure for Sanur, visiting the famed Tanah Lot Temple en-route. Tanah Lot is an integral part of Balinese mythology and one of seven sea temples that are said to form a ‘chain’ around the island. The temple is only accessible at low tide and despite its offshore location in the Indian Ocean, it features a freshwater spring at its base, which is said to contain holy water. Check in at your resort in Sanur for your next 2 nights’ accommodations. (B)

Day 11 Sanur
Full day free at leisure to relax and explore Sanur and other beach spots (Seminyak, Kuta, etc.) on your own. (B)

Day 12 Return Home
Transfer to the airport for your departure flight home. (B)

TESTIMONIALS

"We were pleased with the manner in which all of our tour guides and drivers were welll informed and on time. All of the recommended hotels were perfect. This was our first trip to this part of the world, although we have traveled to over 15 countries outside of the United Sates. Our tour planner was very accommodating in listening to our requested changes in the itinerary. At each of our 4 stops we had a uniquely enjoyable experience. …”

“Trip of a lifetime...My wife and I booked our honeymoon with Explorient. It was the most amazing trip we've ever had. A personal tour guide and driver waiting for you at each airport, five star hotels, and some of the most amazing sites the world has to offer. We were nervous to travel around Asia (Thailand, Cambodia, Singapore, Bali, and Hong Kong) but they took care of everything, even down to the vegetarian meals. I would (and do) recommend Explorient to everyone I know.”
