4 Days / 3 Nights – Tour Code (SEL) – Land Only – private tour – Departs Daily
Seoul, is the capital of South Korea that boasts 600 years of history and an area of strategic importance since prehistoric times. During the Era of the Three States (4th to mid-7th centuries), region was frequently used as a battleground among the ancient ruling kingdoms of Goguryeo, Baekje and Silla. It was designated as Korea’s capital city during the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910). Since then, the city has continued to grow to become the largest in the country. Since its independence from Japanese colonial rule in 1945, the city was named Seoul, which means ‘towering high.’
Today, Seoul is a fascinating city of paramount sophistication that offers the visitor a myriad of sensational cuisine, fantastic shopping and bustling entertainment. Revered landmarks such as Gyeongbokgung Palace and Changdeok Palace amid modern skyscrapers draw sharp contrasts between the new and the old, the modern and tradition – making Seoul a world class travel destination the world over. On this tour, you will visit the capital’s highlights as well a rare chance to step foot on the DMZ (demilitarized zone) that has divided the two Koreas for over 50 years – certainly an experience not to be missed!
