TOUR ITINERARY
Day 1. Arrive Kuala Lumpur
Upon arrival in Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), be met and transferred to your hotel in he city center.
Day 2. Kuala Lumpur
Enjoy a morning city tour of Kuala Lumpur tracing through the Heritage Trails of the early cultures in Malaysia. Visit Chan See Shu Yuen Clan House, one of the most interesting clan House in Malaysia); Chinatown, Sri Maha Mariamman Temple, Central Market, Sze Yeh Temple, Jamek Mosque of North India Islamic architecture, and the Sultan Abdul Samad Building. Enjoy Malaysian lunch at a local restaurant. Balance of the afternoon at leisure to relax and explore KL on your own. (B,L)
Day 3. Kuala Lumpur (Malacca)
This morning, leave the hustle and bustle of KL for Malacca. Located on the banks of the river which in yesteryear teemed with Chinese junks and spice-laden vessels from all over the world, Malacca provides a glimpse into the splendid saga of an extraordinary empire. Enjoy a 45-minute cruise on the Malacca River followed by a walking tour of Malacca visiting the bridge over the Malacca River, Christ Church, Tan Beng Swee Clock Tower, Porta de Santiago, Baba & Nyonya Heritage Museum and Cheng Hoon Teng Temple. A Peranakan lunch is served at a local restaurant. Return to KL in the afternoon. (B,L)
Day 4. Kuala Lumpur / Cameron Highlands
This morning, embark on an overland journey to Cameron Highlands winding your way up to 5000 ft above sea level. Along the way, stop at Iskandar waterfalls and passing gurgling jungle streams Upon arrival in Cameron Highlands, enjoy a “bush walk” at a tea plantation boasting picturesque views of flourishing tea plantation blanketing the undulating hills. Following your afternoon tea, continue to the Rose Garden and vegetable farms before checking in at your resort where dinner will be served this evening. (B,D)
Day 5. Cameron Highlands / Penang
This morning, hop into our 4×4 cruising along the picturesque rolling tea garden to the highest mountain accessible by road in South East Asia. On a clear day, one will be blessed with the magnificent views of the surrounding area. Here, visit the Mossy Forest that showcases some of the exotic floras on earth, like the Pitcher plant, Orchids, Primitive Ferns, Spices and Medicinal Plants. Time permitting, enjoy another tea plantation visit before proceeding by road to Penang, visiting Sam Poh Tong and Ubudiah Mosque en-route. Check-in to your hotel in Penang for your next 2 nights’ accommodations. (B)
Day 6. Penang
This morning, enjoy a choice a tour of historical George Town OR a culinary adventure around Penang per below.
- Option 1: Tour of Historical George Town: explore the streets of George Town and its rich heritage complemented with narrow, winding lanes and quaint pre-War houses exuding a palpable old world charm. Visits include St. George’s Church, the oldest Anglican church in Southeast Asia and Goddess of Mercy Temple. Take a tour of the Pinang Peranakan Mansion followed by a walking tour of the King street Temples and Market Street famed for its spice shops passing through food stalls offering an array of local delights. Afterwards, visit Sri Mariamman Temple and Khoo Kongsi, a large Chinese clanhouse with elaborate and highly ornamented architecture located in Cannon Square in the heart of the oldest part of the city of George Town. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure to relax and explore Penang on your own. (B)
- Option 2: Penang Foodies Adventure: This morning, experience a world of Asian flavors on this 3-hour culinary walking tour in Penang. Visit local coffee shops, spice markets and food vendors with your guide. Admire stalls bursting with fresh fruit, seafood and vegetables, and sample delicious local delicacies such as prawn fritters and rice cooked in coconut milk. Listen as your guide sheds light on Penang’s street-food culture and visit the city’s oldest Indian Muslim restaurant. (B)
