TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1 Arrve Kuala Lumpur (Welcome to Malaysia!)

Upon arrival in Kuala Lumpur, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel for your next three nights. The remainder of the day is at leisure—time to settle in, ease into the rhythm of the capital, or step out for an informal first taste of Kuala Lumpur’s urban energy.

Day 2 Kuala Lumpur (The City Highlights)

This morning, trace Kuala Lumpur’s Heritage Trails—an unfolding portrait of the city’s multicultural identity, shaped by sacred sites, market streets, and colonial-era landmarks. From the ornate Chan See Shu Yuen Clan House and the lively lanes of Chinatown to the color and incense of Sri Maha Mariamman Temple, the city reveals itself in layered contrasts. Continue through Central Market and Sze Yeh Temple, then pause at Jamek Mosque—set at the meeting point of two rivers and noted for its North Indian Islamic design—before ending near the Sultan Abdul Samad Building, a Moorish-inspired emblem of the old administrative quarter. Return to your hotel in the early afternoon, with the remainder of the day at leisure. (B)

Day 3 Kuala Lumpur (Malaysian Heritage through Malacca)

Journey by road to Malacca, where Malaysia’s maritime past lingers in riverfront warehouses, weathered facades, and Peranakan detail. Drift along the Malacca River on a leisurely cruise, taking in murals, bridges, and the slow bend of history, then continue on foot through the city’s most storied corners—past Dutch-era landmarks, hillside fort remnants, and clan temples that speak to centuries of trade and migration. Enjoy a Peranakan lunch at a local restaurant before returning to Kuala Lumpur in the afternoon. (B,L)

Day 4 Kuala Lumpur /  Cameron Highlands (Head For the Highlands)

Leave Kuala Lumpur behind and travel north into the Cameron Highlands, where the air turns cooler and the landscape shifts to emerald hills rising to around 5,000 feet above sea level. Along the way, pause at Iskandar Waterfall and watch jungle streams slip through the greenery before the road begins its gentle climb. On arrival, step into tea country with a guided walk through the plantations, taking in panoramic views of undulating slopes blanketed in neat green rows. After afternoon tea, continue to a few of the highlands’ local highlights—such as the Rose Garden (or Butterfly Farm) and nearby vegetable farms—before checking in to your resort. Dinner is served at the hotel. (B,D)

Day 5 Cameron Highlands / Penang (From Mountains to Sea)

This morning, venture deeper into the highlands by 4×4, winding through rolling tea gardens toward Gunung Brinchang—one of the region’s most dramatic viewpoints and the highest mountain accessible by road in Southeast Asia. Between sweeping vistas, your guide shares “tea talks” that bring the landscape’s history and cultivation to life. Continue with an interpretive walk through the Mossy Forest, a mist-laced world of orchids, pitcher plants, ancient ferns, and medicinal flora. Then descend from the mountains and continue by road to Penang, where you’ll check in for a three-night stay at a heritage hotel in town or a beachfront resort by the sea. (B)

Day 6 Penang (UNESCO George Town Heritage)

This morning, step into George Town’s historic quarter, where narrow lanes and pre-war shophouses reflect centuries of trade and cultural exchange. Visit St. George’s Church and the Goddess of Mercy Temple, then continue to the Pinang Peranakan Mansion for a glimpse into Penang’s Straits Chinese heritage. Wander on foot through the King Street temples and Market Street—known for spice shops and local food stalls—before visiting Sri Mariamman Temple. Conclude at Khoo Kongsi, an exquisitely ornamented Chinese clanhouse in Cannon Square. The afternoon is at leisure. (B)

Day 7 Penang (All About Food)

Today, choose your culinary experience from the following:

Option 1 – A Taste of Penang: Begin the day with a three-hour culinary walking tour through Penang’s markets, coffee shops, spice stalls, and street-food vendors. Browse vibrant displays of local produce and seafood as you sample beloved specialties—think prawn fritters and fragrant coconut rice—while your guide brings Penang’s food culture to life. The experience includes a stop at one of the city’s oldest Indian Muslim eateries. The remainder of the day is yours to relax and explore Penang at your own pace. (B)

Option 2 – Malaysian Cooking & Spice Garden: Step into Penang’s Tropical Spice Garden, a lush sanctuary set on a former rubber plantation and home to hundreds of tropical plants. Wander aromatic trails on a guided visit, then continue with a hands-on cooking class at your own workstation. Talented home cooks—passing down recipes shaped by generations—share the techniques, flavors, and spice-forward traditions behind Malaysia’s signature dishes. (B,L)

*Note: Activities and the cooking lesson are shared with other guests.

Day 8 Depart Penang (Fairwell Malaysia)

At the appropriate time, transfer to the airport for your onward flight. (B)
