For those seeking a holiday experience that has it all – awe-inspiring landmarks, exotic culture, stunning natural beauty, fascinating wildlife and some R&R on the beach, look no further than this unforgettable adventure featuring the all must-sees of Myanmar and Thailand.
Nowhere on the planet is there more magic and mystery in the air than in Myanmar. To this day, Myanmar remains one of the most undiscovered destinations in the world. A land of breathtaking beauty, deep-rooted spirituality, and the warmest, purest and friendliest people, that rewards the visitor with a lifetime of memories and life-changing perspectives. Traveling in style, we begin our voyage in the former Burmese Capital of Yangon with its unmistakably colonial style buildings, shimmering pagodas and open markets, where timeless traditions and modern day life coexist in complete harmony.
Then, embark on a time journey to Bagan, the birthplace of Burmese civilization revered for its spectacular array of 3,000+ ancient pagodas, temples and palaces representative of centuries of architecture, culture and religion. Here, explore these amazing temple ruins, stroll through rural local villages, even a chance to mingle with the local people. Next, prepare yourself for a one-of-a-kind travel experiences to Myanmar’s Inle Lake. Soak up Inle’s scenic and cultural beauty by exploring this huge body of water by boat, catching glimpses of primitive villages perched on stilts, the patient Intha fisherman combing through the calm waters for small fish using his masterful rowing technique, and stunning landscape at every turn dotted with wooded boats and rare species of birds that wows the layman and most seasoned photographer alike. Afterward, return to “modern day” Myanmar touching down Mandalay, a city more distinguished and self-confident than any other Burmese city, and a spiritual centre that boasts numerous old wooden monasteries and unique pagodas that date back to life under the reign of Myanmar’s last King.
After a week of sensory overload, it’s time for some fun and plain old R&R. Starting with the Thai capital of Bangkok, we spend two nights in this teeming metropolis that boasts an endless array of dining, entertainment and nightlife options, and where the world is virtually at your fingertips. Next, travel north to the deep rooted heritage city of Chiang Mai that welcomes you with its lush countryside, warm friendly people and a cozy atmosphere. Here, sample the region’s famed culinary delights, haggle your way to incredible bargains at the bustling Night Bazaar or Sunday Market, and embark on a wildlife adventure exploring the jungle on an elephant’s back. Last and certainly not least, we conclude this incredible trip with some R&R in the beautiful tropical paradise of Krabi. Blessed with a stunning seascape of karst towers and palm-fringed beaches, this quaint seaside town makes for a perfect way to shore up a truly memorable holiday.
