Day 1 Depart North American
Depart USA for Ho Chi Minh City via Cathay Pacific Airways, connecting in Hong Kong

Day 2 Ho Chi Minh City
Upon arrival in HCM City, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for your next 3 nights’ accommodations.

Day 3 Ho Chi Minh City (Cu Chi Tunnels)
Today’s tour includes Notre Dame Cathedral, Ben Thanh market, City Hall, the Reunification Palace and an excursion to Cu Chi Tunnels. (B,L).

Day 4 Ho Chi Minh City (Mekong Delta)
Your excursion of the Mekong Delta, the bread basket of Vietnam, begins with a morning drive to Cai Be, a small town with an elegant Neo-Romanesque Cathedral at the town center recalling the presence of the French colonialists back in the 19th century. Board a local boat and cruise down the Mekong River. Observe river life along the banks and explore a local village in which local families are running age-old cottage industries making traditional treats such as dried longans, rice pancakes and puffed rice candies. Here, mingle with the locals with a chance to sample these local delicacies. Continue the trip across a main flow of the mighty Mekong then follow narrow waterways through peaceful lush green orchards as well as lively scenes well inhabited sections of canals. Disembark at Vinh Long and continue to Can Tho by vehicle for your overnight accommodation. (B)

Day 5 Ho Chi Minh City/ Hoi An
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Danang. Transfer to Hoi An by road. Upon arrival, commence sightseeing via Cyclo (rickshaw) through the cobbled streets of Old Town passing the Japanese Covered Bridge, the bustling central Market and Hoi An Harbor where colourfully painted boats are docked. Visit a Private House, where members of the same family have lived continuously for centuries in a traditional setting; a typical Assembly Hall, a local museum and temple. Overnight in Hoi An. (B)

Day 6 Hoi An
Full day free at leisure to relax and explore beautiful Hoi An on your own. Optional tours (cooking lesson, Thu Bon River Cruise, My Son Ruins, tour countryside by bicycle, etc.) are available upon request. (B)

Day 7 Hoi An / Hue
This morning, journey north along Highway 1 past Lang Co and the Hai Van Pass to Hue. Visit the Old Imperial Palace and the Tomb of Tu Duc before transferring to your hotel. (B)

Day 8 Hue / Halong Bay
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival, journey east along Highway 5 across Hai Hung Province for Halong Bay. Overnight in Halong. (B)

Day 9 Halong Bay / Hanoi
This morning, enjoy a cruise by traditional “Junk ” (wooden boat) around the emerald waters and craggy limestone cliffs of Halong Bay, an UNESCO World Heritage Site, stopping at different islands to explore the many caves in this area. Sail past floating villages, fishermen casting their nets and pearl fisheries and observe the rhythms of daily life on the bay. A seafood lunch as served on board your cruise. Proceed by road to Hanoi and transfer to your hotel. (B,L)

Day 10 Hanoi
Today, tour the city of Hanoi with visits to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum*, his House on Stilt where he lived and ruled the country, One Pillar pagoda, Temple of Literature, the Opera House, Hanoi’s Old Quarters and “Hanoi Hilton” Prison. (B)

Day 11 Hanoi / Luang Prabang
Transfer to Hanoi airport for your flight to Luang Prabang. Upon arrival, be met and commence sightseeing. Enjoy a half-day tour around the UNESCO World Heritage town of Luang Prabang. Visit the Wat Visoun, Wat Phu Sii, Wat Mai, and the National Museum. (B)

Day 12 Luang Prabang
Today, you will take the Mekong Riverboat trip to visit the Pak Ou Buddha Caves, located in the steep rock cliff at the confluence of the Mekong River and Ou River, filled with Buddha images of varying styles, ages and sizes. Enjoy a picnic lunch en route followed by several cultural and scenic visits before returning to the hotel. (B,L)

Day 13 Luang Prabang / Siem Reap
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Siem Reap. Time permitting (depending on flight schedule), enjoy a tour of Tonle Sap Lake by boat. Tonle Sap, or Great Lake is Located in the heart of Cambodia, this extraordinary lake swells up to seven times its original size during the monsoon season. Its ecosystem is one of the richest and most diverse in the region. This boat trip will explore the floating fishing villages that live at the edges of the lake, passing submerged forests and fishing farms. Transfer to your hotel. (B)

Day 14 Siem Reap
Sightseeing of Angkor. Visit Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, Bayon Temple, Phimeanakas, Former Royal Palace, Terrace of Elephants, Terrace of the Leper King and Ta Prohm. Visit Phnom Bakheng for the sunset over Angkor. (B,L)

Day 15 Siem Reap / Phnom Penh
This morning, visit Banteay Srei, Banteay Samre, Ta Keo and Eastern Mebon. Fly to Phnom Penh in the afternoon. Upon arrival, be met and transferred to your hotel. (B)

Day 16 Phnom Penh / Bangkok
This morning, enjoy sightseeing of Phnom Penh, a chaotic, energetic and always fascinating city. Graceful tree-lined boulevards and riverfront promenades are reminders of bygone eras; today they teem with life and activity, as motorcycles weave in and out of traffic, vendor hawk their wares, and pedestrians go about their business. Visits include the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, National Museum, Central Market & Russian Market. Next, proceed to the KILLING FIELDS which provide a stark reminder of the atrocities under the Pol Pot regime. Fly to Bangkok in the late afternoon. Upon arrival, be met and transferred to your hotel. (B)

Day 17 Bangkok
This morning, enjoy a visit to the Royal Palace to see Dusit Hall (Funeral Hall) and the holy Wat Phra Kaew (Emerald Buddha), followed by the capital’s most revered temples including Wat Pho (Reclining Buddha) and Wat Trimit (Golden Buddha). Afternoon free at leisure. (B)

Day 18 Bangkok
Day at leisure to shop and further explore the vibrant city of Bangkok on your own. (B)

Day 19 Bangkok / Home
