Day 1 Depart North America
Depart North America for Bangkok via Cathay Pacific Airways, connecting in Hong Kong.
Day 2 Arrive Bangkok
Upon arrival in Bangkok, be met and transferred to The Bangkok Oriental for your next 4 nights’ accommodations.
Day 3 Bangkok
This morning, take a boat ride along the ‘River of Kings’, and its quiet canals. Visit Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn), the Royal Palace to see Dusit Hall (Funeral Hall) and the holy Wat Phra Kaew (Emerald Buddha) followed by Bangkok’s most revered temples that include Wat Trimit (Golden Buddha) and Wat Pho (Reclining Buddha). This afternoon, rejuvenate and pamper yourself with a 3 and a half hour spa treatment at the famous Oriental Spa. A French dinner is served at the Oriental’s Le Normandie. (B,D)
Day 4 Bangkok (Damnoen Saduak Floating Market)
Full day tour to the renowned Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, where for over a hundred years, villagers transport their agricultural products by canals to the center of trading at Damnoen Saduak. This incredible network is a labyrinth of almost two hundreds branched canals lined with ancient Thai wooden houses and colorfully decorated by small wooden boats that contain fresh fruits and vegetables. Afterwards, visits the “Train Market”. A little know local market where vendors line the tracks giving way to the on coming train eight times a day, then returning to business immediately afterwards. Return to Bangkok in the afternoon and enjoy lunch at Oriental’s Sala Rim Namm Thai Restaurant. Balance of the day at leisure. (B,L)
Day 5 Bangkok
Indulge yourself in a luxurious shopping experience with your private chauffeur through the city of Bangkok. In the evening, enjoy a spectacular Cabaret show at the Calypso Theatre OR a dazzling Siam Niramit cultural performance with private transfers. (B)
Day 6 Bangkok / Chiang Mai
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Chiang Mai. Upon arrival, be met and transferred to the Dhara Dhevi Resort & Spa. Balance of day at leisure to relax and enjoy the myriad of activities available at the resort. (B)
Day 7 Chiang Mai (Lampang Elephant Conservation Center)
Visit Lampang Elephant Conservation Center to see the elephants at work. Take an elephant ride to the jungle. After lunch visit Lampoon with its ancient temples and history dating back to A.D. 700. Afterwards, Visit a hill tribe village inhabited by several ethnic groups including Long Neck Karen, traditional Karen, Lahu and Palong. (B,L)
Day 8 Chiang Mai
This morning, master the art of Thai cuisine at the Dhara Dhevi Culinary School with a visit to the Chiang Mai local market accompanied by the chef. This evening, enjoy dinner at the French restaurant Farang Ses. (B,L,D)
Day 9 Return Home
Transfer to the airport for your departure flight home, connecting in Hong Kong. (B)
