13 Days / 11 Nights – Tour Code (CFA)– Daily departure
Designed for the active and discerning family, this fascinating tour of China combines culture, history and great family fun to bring you the holiday experience of a lifetime! This meticulous planned itinerary features Beijing’s legendary landmarks, treks on two of the most picturesque sections of the Great Wall, a scenic mountain retreat to Guilin’s stunning countryside, and some R&R in Hong Kong, one of the most exhilarating cities on the planet, where fantastic food and entertainment abound.
Your introduction to China begins in Beijing. Catch a glimpse into China’s magnificent three thousand-year history, visiting the capital’s legendary landmarks such as The Forbidden City, Summer Palace, and Temple of Heaven. Then it’s time to venture out to Beijing’s countryside, visiting two of Wall’s most beautiful sections – Mutianyu and Simitai. Here, relish this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to climb this awe-inspiring masterpiece amid picturesque panorama. As night falls, spend your evening in the charming Gubei water village, nestled at the base of Simatai. Enjoy the calm setting of quaint cobbled alleyways, tranquil streams and colorful shop houses.
Next, continue to majestic Guilin, a land of stunning landscape and timeless culture many find seemingly surreal. Here, embark on a breathtaking river cruise along the famed Li River. Enjoy simple pleasures by taking a bike ride around Yangshuo’s picturesque countryside, roaming through local villages amid lush rice paddies and water buffaloes. Reward yourself with magnificent views upon reaching Moon Hill’s summit after an 800-step climb. Discover the charm of the artisan village of Yangshuo along West Street. Whatever your vision of an unforgettable scenic adventure, Guilin never disappoints.
Last but certainly not least, we top off your unforgettable family vacation by touching down in Hong Kong. Forever known as the “Pearl of the Orient,” Hong Kong artfully blends in the best from the East and West, where millions come to savor its culinary delicacies, hunt for extraordinary shopping bargains, and soak up its electric city vibes. See Hong Kong’s past, present and future by visiting local markets and residential areas, contrasted by the island’s ultra-modern skyline and glittering skyscrapers. Ride on the Victoria Peak Tram for a bird’s eye view of Victoria Harbor, the iconic Star Ferry between Hong Kong island and Kowloon Peninsula, and the infamous 120 year-old Hong Kong Tramway.
Your most unforgettable China family adventure awaits!

Depart USA for Beijing via Cathay Pacific Airways, connecting in Hong Kong.
Day 2 Arrive Beijing
Upon arrival and after clearing customs, be met and transferred to your hotel.
Day 3 Beijing
Your introduction to China’s ancient and present-day capital features a visit to the awe-inspiring Forbidden City. Comprised of 980 buildings, it was the former Chinese Imperial Palace from the Ming dynasty to the end of the Qing dynasty (the years 1420 to 1912). Next up is Tiananmen Square, the largest city square in the world and home to monuments, museums and halls. After lunch at a local restaurant, enjoy a tour of Beijing’s Old Quarters (Hutongs) that date back to the Ming dynasty in the 14th century. Return to your hotel for a brief rest before heading out for a delicious Peking Duck Dinner, followed by the action-packed Legends of Kung Fu Show. (B,L,D)
Day 4 Beijing
Today’s program includes visits to the Lamma Temple, which houses unique artwork of Han Chinese and Tibetan Buddhism; Temple of Heaven, which was built in 1420 and is the largest temple compound and one of the most strictly protected and preserved cultural heritages of China; and Summer Palace, a grand imperial palace and a royal garden of the Qing Dynasty built in the sixteenth century. Lunch is served at a local restaurant. (B,L)
Day 5 Beijing / Great Wall at Mutianyu / Gubei Town
This morning, travel beyond the hustle and bustle of Beijing to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. Mutianyu is one of the best-preserved and best-known Great Wall sections comprised of 23 watch towers spanning 3.5 miles. Enjoy a light hike here before continuing to Gubei Town, a resort village in a Qing Dynasty setting lined with quaint shop houses accented by tranquil streams. Enjoy the balance of the day at leisure to relax and explore the village on your own. Overnight in Gubei Town. (B,L)
Day 6 Gubei Town (Great Wall at Simatai)
This morning, enjoy a hike of the Simatai Section of the Great Wall, located just a short walk from Gubei Town. Unlike other sections of the Wall, restoration of Simatai only included essential reinforcement work, so visitors are treated to a glimpse of the wall in its original form, with several steep and narrow sections over its ten watch towers that are open to the public. Afterwards, return back to Gubei town for some time at leisure to relax and soak up its tranquil atmosphere. (B)
Day 7 Gubei Town / Guilin
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Guilin. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel where dinner will be served. This evening, enjoy a Comorant Fishing excursion (conditions permitting) or a cruise on Four Lakes. (B,D)

Day 9 Li River Cruise / Yangshuo
Today’s tour takes you on a cruise down the majestic Li River to the charming, western-inspired artisan village of Yangshuo. Upon arrival, enjoy a leisurely bike ride, passing through local farms and villages in and around Yangshuo’s magical countryside. You can also hike up Moon Hill and take in the panoramic views of the area’s spectacular landscape. An enchanting evening awaits in the bustling little village of Yangshuo. (B,L)
Day 10 Guilin / Hong Kong

Day 11 Hong Kong
Enjoy a morning private walking tour via public transportation to explore Hong Kong’s Central and Western Districts. Starting with a ride on the Star Ferry, we visit Central District, the business and financial hub of Hong Kong – a glittering show of mirrored towers, multi-million dollar high rises and designer shops. Take a tram ride up to Victoria Peak, one of Hong Kong’s must-sees, offering panoramic views of the Hong Kong Harbor. Afterwards, hop on the historic HK Tramway to one of the island’s oldest residential areas. Visit a local market and board the world’s longest outdoor escalator to Hollywood Road, famous for its many antiques, curio shops and furniture. Time permitting, make a brief stop at Man Mo Temple before returning to your hotel by subway (MTR). Enjoy the balance of the afternoon at leisure. (B)
