Day 1 Arrive Beijing
Upon arrival and after clearing customs, be met and transferred to your hotel for your next 4 nights’ accommodations.
Day 2 Beijing
This morning, enjoy a city tour of Beijing with visits to Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City and Temple of Heaven. Lunch is served at a local restaurant. Afternoon at leisure. This evening, enjoy a Peking Duck dinner followed by the breath-taking “Legends of Kung Fu” Performance. (B,L,D)
Day 3 Beijing
Today, travel outside Beijing’s hustle and bustle to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. Mutianyu is one of the best-preserved and best-known Great Wall sections comprised of 23 watch towers and spanning 3.5 miles. Enjoy a light hike with breathtaking views of the remote countryside, followed by an exhilarating toboggan ride back to the base. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before returning to Beijing for a tour of the Old Quarters (Hutongs) by Rickshaw. (B,L)
Day 4 Beijing
This morning, visit the Lamma Temple. Built initially in 1694 during the Qing Dynasty, it is considered to be the largest and most perfectly preserved lamasery in present-day China. Continue to Summer Palace, a lavish royal garden built in 1750 to commemorate the birthday of Emperor Qianlong’s mother. Return to Beijing in the afternoon and enjoy the balance of the day at leisure to relax and explore Beijing on your own. (B)
Day 5 Beijing / Chengdu
Transfer to the airport for your morning flight to Chengdu. Upon arrival, enjoy a city tour of Chengdu visiting People’s Park, followed by Jin Li Street for a stroll through its colorful cobblestone marketplace lined with shops, tea houses and restaurants. Check-in to your hotel for your overnight accommodations. (B)
Day 6 Chengdu (Panda Breeding & Research Center)
Enjoy a morning tour of the Panda Research & Breeding Center at Dujianyan. Also known as the “Panda Base,” it was specially designed to imitate the pandas’ natural habitat, making it suitable for breeding. Covering an area of 92 acres, the Center cares also for other rare and endangered wild animals, including lesser pandas, black-necked cranes and white storks. In addition, over 20 species of rare animals are fed and bred there throughout the year. Take part in the Panda Care program to get some hands-on experience caring for the Pandas and preparing their habitat. After lunch, continue to Mt. Qingcheng, one of the cradles of Taoism and a famous summer retreat where a number of Taoist temples are nestled amid the ranges of hills and lush forests. (B,L)

Day 7 Chengdu / Guilin
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Guilin. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Dinner and overnight at your hotel. (B,D)
Day 8 Guilin
This morning, enjoy a full day of sightseeing in the beautiful city of Guilin. Visits include Elephant Trunk Hill, Reed Flute Cave and Fubo Hill. This evening, enjoy a fascinating Cormorant fishing boat tour along the Li River. (B,L)
Day 9 Li River Cruise / Yangshuo
Today’s tour takes you on a cruise down the majestic Li River to the charming, western-inspired artisan village of Yangshuo. Upon arrival, enjoy a leisurely bike ride, passing through local farms and villages in and around Yangshuo’s magical countryside. An enchanting evening awaits in the bustling little village of Yangshuo. (B,L)
Day 10 Guilin / Shanghai
Morning at leisure. Transfer to the airport for your afternoon flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, be met and transferred to your hotel for your next 3 nights’ accommodations. (B)
Day 11 Shanghai
Full-day city sightseeing of Shanghai features the Old Town and its Yu Garden, Urban Planning & Exhibition Center, the Bund, Shanghai Museum and the art district of Tianzifang. Famed for its Old Shanghai Shikumen houses, Tianzifang offers a laid back atmosphere with cobbled streets lined with art galleries, cafes and restaurants. You’ll also visit Shanghai Tower, China’s tallest skyscraper overlooking the city at 128 stories above the Huangpu River. Lunch is served at a local restaurant. This evening, enjoy a breathtaking Shanghai Acrobatics Performance. (B,L)
Day 12 Shanghai
Full day free at leisure to relax, eat, shop and explore Shanghai on your own. (B)
Day 13 Return Home
Transfer to the airport by MavLev Train, the word’s fastest train with speeds of 430 km/h for your flight home. (B)
