Where Vietnam’s Iconic Landscapes Flow Into Island Ease

This immersive 13-day Vietnam luxury journey with a true island retreat is thoughtfully designed for travelers seeking both discovery and relaxation. From Hanoi’s tree-lined boulevards and lantern-lit markets to Phu Quoc’s palm-fringed shores, the experience reveals a portrait of scenic beauty and cultural richness—where each moment feels intentionally composed, yet comfortably unhurried.

Cultural layers emerge naturally along the way. Wander ancient quarters alive with street vendors and colonial façades, explore the UNESCO-listed charm of Hoi An, and encounter poignant chapters of history at the Cu Chi Tunnels and Hoa Lo Prison. Cyclo rides through bustling neighborhoods and tranquil river cruises past temples and villages offer a window into the country’s enduring rhythms.

Adventure and intimacy go hand in hand. Drift by sampan through limestone valleys in Ninh Binh, kayak across Halong Bay’s quiet lagoons, and witness daily life unfolding across fertile waterways. Each experience invites connection while preserving the ease of private guiding and carefully chosen accommodations.

As the journey unfolds, retreat to Phu Quoc Island — Vietnam’s premier island escape — where white sands, crystalline waters, and relaxed seaside energy create a natural exhale after days of exploration. A return to dynamic Ho Chi Minh City reawakens the senses, its gleaming towers rising beside French-colonial landmarks amid a vibrant culinary and cultural scene.

Designed for travelers who value beauty, balance, and effortless movement between destinations, this bespoke Vietnam journey pairs iconic landscapes with the rare pleasure of a genuine island stay — creating an experience that feels expansive, seamless, and distinctly rewarding.

TOUR ITINERARY:

Day 1-2: Hanoi – A Capital of Heritage & Street Food Soul

Your journey begins in Vietnam’s thousand-year-old capital, where French-colonial facades mingle with ancient temples and the hum of scooters fills the air. Hanoi is a city of contrasts: scholarly courtyards beside bustling alleyways, rickshaws weaving through markets, and evenings alive with the aromas of sizzling street food.

Day 1 (Welcome to Vietnam): Arrive in Vietnam’s capital, where you’ll be met by your private guide and transferred to your luxury hotel for a two-night stay. Settle in and enjoy the lively energy of the city at your doorstep.

Day 2 (History, Culture & Flavor): Set out on a curated excursion that traces the heart of Hanoi’s culture and history. Explore world-class museums and temples, hear stories of resilience at Hoa Lo Prison, and glide through the Old Quarter’s maze of alleys on a cyclo, each corner alive with the hum of daily life that has echoed for centuries. Pause for coffee at a local café before returning to your hotel for a leisurely afternoon.

As night falls, dive into Hanoi’s legendary street food culture on a guided foodie adventure. Pull up a plastic stool beside locals in the Old Quarter, sampling signature dishes like silky bánh cuốn, smoky barbecue skewers, and refreshing fruit desserts. End the evening at a hidden café with views overlooking Hoan Kiem Lake, savoring coffee—or beer—as the city glimmers below. (B,D)

Day 11-12 Ho Chi Minh City – The Pulse & Charm of Modern Vietnam

Returning to the pulse of modern Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City dazzles with its skyscrapers, rooftop bars, and boundless energy. Here, French-colonial landmarks meet buzzing markets, world-class cuisine, and an after-dark scene that defines Asia’s new cosmopolitan frontier.

Day 11 (From Beach Escape to Big City Vibes): A short flight takes you to Ho Chi Minh City, still affectionately called Saigon and long known as the “Paris of the East.” A city of striking contrasts, it combines timeless colonial architecture with cutting-edge towers, luxury hotels, and a vibrant street culture. Get acquainted with the city by visiting its iconic landmarks, including the Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office, and City Hall. Then, enjoy some souvenir hunting at the city’s famed Ben Thanh Market, a lively hub for street snacks, spices, and local crafts before hotel check-in. (B)

Day 12 (Cu Chi Tunnels & Evening Show): This morning, take a short drive outside the city to the legendary Cu Chi Tunnels. First dug in 1948, this vast underground network grew into an elaborate 200-kilometer system stretching toward the Cambodian border. Serving as hiding places, communication routes, storage depots, and even field hospitals during the Vietnam War, the tunnels remain one of Vietnam’s most extraordinary historic sites. Here, you’ll have the option to descend below ground to experience the tunnels firsthand. The afternoon is yours to relax, shop, or discover more of Ho Chi Minh City at your own pace.

In this final chapter of your bespoke Vietnam journey, be captivated by this evening’s A O Show—a dazzling 60-minute performance blending acrobatics, dance, and music to portray Vietnam’s evolution from serene village life to vibrant modern cities. (B,L)
