TOUR ITINERARY
Day 1. Upon arrival at Makassar (Ujung Pandung), proceed overland to Toraja by private var (approx. 8 hours). The scenic drive follows the coast to Pare Pare, where we stop for lunch followed by a brief stop at Puncak Lakawang overlooking a spectacular panoramic landscape. Arrive Toraja late in the afternoon and check-in at Hotel Heritage Toraja for your next 2 nights’ accommodations. Dinner is served at the hotel this evening. (L,D)
Day 2. After breakfast, explore the Toraja Highlands visiting Lemo to see the cliff displaying ancestral sculptures and the hanging graves. Continue to Londa, which has an ancient ceremonial burial place. Visit Kete Kesu, a wonderful Toraja village known for its ‘Tongkonan’ houses, rice barns and its woodcarving. Lunch is served at a local restaurant. Overnight in Toraja. (B,L)
Day 3. Morning overland transfer by private car to Makassa (Ujung Pandung) for your departure flight onward.(B)
