Day 1 Arrive Tokyo
Upon arrival, be met and transferred to your hotel by private reserved taxi for your next 2 nights’ accommodations.

Day 2 Tokyo
Today, enjoy a private tour of several of Tokyo’s must-sees. Visit Meiji Jingu Shrine, Tokyo’s most famous Shinto Shrine dedicated to the late 19th-century emperor who opened Japan to the West, home to a 40-foot-high torii gate and a 200-acre park made of 1,500-year-old cypress. Next, proceed to Tsukiji Market, the former site of the world’s largest fish market, now a vibrant marketplace filled with produce and seafood stands and sushi joints. Continue to Tokyo’s oldest Buddhist Temple at Senso-ji in Asakusa followed by a stroll thru its colorful Nakamise Shopping Street. Last stop of the day is Ueno famed for its Ueno Park comprised temples & shrines, museums, and a zoo. Afterwards, take a stroll through nearby Ameya-Yokocho market that boasts an array of local eats and fresh seafood stands. Return to your hotel. (B) 

Day 3 Tokyo
Full day free at leisure to eat, shop and explore Tokyo on own. A huge array of exploration and activities (day trips to Kamakura or Kawagoe, foodies spots, digital art museums, gardens, anime/pop culture, architecture tours, trendy neighborhoods, etc.) are available at your fingertips. (B)

Day 4 Tokyo / Kyoto
This morning, board a Shinkansen (bullet train) for Kyoto. Upon arrival, commence sightseeing of Kyoto’s revered heritage sites. Visit Kinkaku-Ji (Golden Pavilion). Originally built as a retirement villa for the Shogun that later became a Buddhist Temple after his death at his request. Continue to Kiyomizu Temple, one of the most celebrated temples of Japan founded in 780 on the site of the Otowa Waterfall in the wooded hills east of Kyoto. This UNESCO world heritage site is best known for its wooden stage that juts out from its main hall, 13 meters above the hillside below boasting panoramic views of Kyoto City. Enjoy a stroll through the two famous shopping streets (Ninen-zaka & Sannenzaka) before reaching Yaskasa Shrine. Time permitting, take a short stroll around Gion District before checking-in to your hotel in Kyoto. (B)

Day 5 Kyoto (Fushima Inari & Nara)
This morning, enjoy a visit to Fushimi Inari Shrine, famous for its thousands of vermilion torii gates straddling a network of trails behind its main buildings leading into the wooded forest of the sacred Mount Inari. Afterwards, travel via Express Train to Nara, on the outskirts of Kyoto. Nara is Japan’s first Capital from 710-784 A.D. and an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit Todaiji Temple, famed for being the world’s largest wooden building and houses one of the country’s largest Buddha statues. It is adjacent to Nara Park, where over 1,000 free-roaming deer abound. Last stop is Kasuga Taisha, one of the most celebrated shrines in all of Japan. Return to Kyoto in the afternoon. (B)

Day 6 Kyoto/Beijing
Transfer to the airport by SHARED minibus for your flight to Beijing. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for your next 3 nights’ accommodations. Enjoy the balance of the afternoon at leisure. (B)

Day 7 Beijing (The Great Wall at Mutianyu)
This morning, journey northwest bound by road to the less crowded and best preserved section of the Great Wall at Mutianyu. Here, enjoy a cable car ride, followed by a trek on the wall comprised of 22 watch towers stretching over two kilometers. After lunch at a local restaurant, return to the city and enjoy a rickshaw tour of Beijing’s Old Quarters (Hutongs), visiting the Bell & Drum Tower and a stroll through the vibrant walking street lined with shops, tea houses and local culinary delights. This evening, enjoy one of Beijing’s specialties – Peking Duck at one of the city’s famed restaurants. (B,L,D)

Day 8 Beijing
Enjoy a full day tour of the ancient capital’s most revered sites. Visits include the Forbidden City (closed Mondays*), the imperial palace for the Ming and Qing dynasties built in 1420; the Summer Palace, a grand imperial palace and a royal garden of the Qing Dynasty built in the sixteenth century; Tiananmen Square, the largest city square in the world and a symbol of New China; and Temple of Heaven (closed Mondays*), the largest temple compound and one of the most strictly protected and preserved cultural heritages of China. Lunch is served at a local restaurant. (B,L)

*Note: City tour will be switched to the day prior in case this day lands on a Monday due to venue closures. 

Day 9 Beijing / Xian
This morning, board a super-fast high speed Train, with speeds up to 300km/hour, for an exhilarating 4.5 hour ride for Xian. Upon arrival, commence sightseeing of Yangling Tombs, the mausoleum of the Han Dynasty Emperor Liu Qi and his Empress, dating back to 153 A.D. Its intricate relics of miniature figures and burial objects offer revelations to the strict hierarchical social structure during this period. Afterwards, visit the City Wall, one of the oldest and best preserved city walls of China, as well as one of the most comprehensive ancient defensive systems in the world. Check in to your hotel for brief rest before heading out for dinner and show at the Tang Dynasty Theatre. (B,D)

Day 10 Xian
Today’s highlight takes you to the awe-inspiring Terracotta Museum, the excavated tomb of Qin Shi Huang Di, China’s first Emperor. Discovered in 1974 by a group of farmers, this massive burial site is comprised of 7,000+ life-sized Terracotta Warriors and Horses depicting the armies of Qin Shi Huang, constructed to protect the emperor in his afterlife. Return to the city for lunch followed by a visit of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. This evening, enjoy a stroll through Grand Tang Dynasty Ever Bright City (a.k.a. The Great Tang All Day Mall), a 1.5km pedestrian street lined with buildings featuring Tang Dynasty (618 – 907) architecture, street performances, and array of of food stands and shops. (B,L) 

Day 11 Xian / Guilin
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Guilin. Upon arrival, enjoy a city tour of beautiful Guilin visiting Elephant Trunk Hill and Flute Reed Cave. This evening, enjoy an International Buffet Dinner at your hotel, followed by a cruise on Four Lakes and Cormorant Fishing demonstration. (B,D)

Day 12 Guilin (Li River Cruise / Yangshuo)
Today’s unforgettable journey takes you on a cruise down the majestic Li River to the charming, western-inspired artisan village of Yangshuo. Enjoy time in Yangshuo soaking up the region’s stunning natural beauty. Stroll, hike or bike around farm villages or Moon Hill before returning to Guilin in the afternoon. (B,L) 

Day 13 Guilin / Hong Kong
This morning, board a 3-hour high speed train for Hong Kong. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel by private car (driver only). (B)

Day 14 Hong Kong
Enjoy a morning private walking tour via public transportation to explore Hong Kong’s Central and Western Districts. Starting with a ride on the Star Ferry, we visit Central District, the business and financial hub of Hong Kong – a glittering show of mirrored towers, multi-million dollar high-rises and designer shops. Take a tram ride up to Victoria Peak, one of Hong Kong’s must-sees offering panoramic views of the Hong Kong Harbor. Afterwards, visit a local market and take a ride on the historic double-decker Tramway (time permitting) before returning to your hotel by subway (MTR). Enjoy the balance of the afternoon at leisure. Day 15 Return Home
Transfer to the airport for your departure flight home. (B)
