Day 1 Beijing
Upon arrival, be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2 Beijing
Your introduction to China begins with an inspiring visit to the spectacular and less crowded Mutianyu section of the Great Wall with cable car ride. After lunch, return to the city and tour Beijing’s Old Quarters (Hutongs) by rickshaw, visiting a local family’s residence and the Bell & Drum Towers. This evening, enjoy a fabulous Peking Duck Dinner at the exclusive Dadong Restaurant, followed by a Legends of Kung Fu Show. (B,L,D)

Day 3 Beijing
Today’s full-day private tour features all of the “must sees” of Beijing. Visits include the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Summer Palace, and the Temple of Heaven. (B,L)

Day 4 Beijing / Chengdu
Morning flight to Chengdu. Upon arrival, be met and commence sightseeing of the infamous Panda Research & Breeding Center. Proceed to Jinli Street, one of the busiest commercial boulevards during the Three Kingdoms Period (220-280) that is lined with colorful shops, tea houses and local eateries. Enjoy the balance of the day at leisure with an international buffet dinner at your hotel. (B,D)

Day 5 Chengdu
Enjoy a full-day sightseeing tour of Dujiang Weir, the world’s oldest water irrigation system built during the Warring States Period.  Dating back 2300 years, the Weir has  played an important role in irrigation and flood prevention, and is a paradigm within the history of water conservancy construction in China. Next, visit Mt. Qingcheng,  a famous summer resort and one of the cradles of Taoism nestled amidst the hills and lush forests. Return to your hotel in the afternoon. (B,L)

Day 6 Chengdu / Lijiang
Today, fly to Lijiang. Upon arrival, commence sightseeing of Old Town, where cobbled streets, bridges and houses beautifully complement the picture-perfect romantic setting of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Check in to your hotel in the afternoon and enjoy the balance of the day at leisure. (B,L)

Day 7 Lijiang (Tiger Leaping Gorge)
Today, travel by road on a nature-inspired adventure to Tiger Leaping Gorge. Confined between the steep, narrow cliff walls through which the torrential Jinsha River roars, the gorge is believed to be among the deepest gorges in the world. You will enjoy hiking on one of several trails along 18-kilometer gorge. Visit a typical Naxi Minority Village before returning to Lijiang in the afternoon. Lunch at a local restaurant. (B,L)

Day 8 Lijiang
Full day free at leisure to relax, shop and/or explore the maze-like cobbled streets and alleyways of Old Town. (B)

Day 9 Lijiang / Shanghai
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, be met and transferred to your hotel and enjoy your afternoon at leisure. This evening, enjoy a romantic dinner (food only) at one of Shanghai’s exclusive fine-dining venues overlooking the Shanghai Skyline. (B,D)

Day 10 Shanghai
Full-day city sightseeing of Shanghai features the Old Town and its Yu Garden, Urban Planning & Exhibition Center, the Bund, Shanghai Museum and the art district of Tianzifang, famed for its Old Shanghai Shikumen houses in a laid-back atmosphere with cobbled streets lined with art galleries, cafes and restaurants. Enjoy a Western lunch at one of Shanghai’s exclusive restaurants located on the Bund. This evening, enjoy a breathtaking ERA Acrobatics Performance. (B,L)

Day 11 Shanghai
Enjoy a full day at leisure to shop and explore Shanghai on your own. (B)

Day 12 Depart Shanghai
Transfer to the airport for your flight home. (B)
