Day 9 Bali (A Day in the Mountains)Today, choose your adventure:

Option 1 (Temples & Rice Terraces) – Your journey into Central Bali begins with Taman Ayun, a royal-era temple surrounded by lotus-filled moats and towering meru shrines. Continue into the cool highlands of Bedugul, stopping at the colorful Candi Kuning Market en route. Next up is Ulun Danu Beratan, a stunning lakefront temple compound where the temple seemingly floats on the glassy surface of Lake Beratan. After a delicious Balinese lunch, make your way to Jatiluwih’s sweeping UNESCO rice terraces—endless ribbons of emerald fields—where a light trek through the rice paddies reveals the enduring rhythms of Balinese village life. (B,L)

Option 2 (Interior Bali by Bike & Foot) – A scenic drive into Bali’s interior brings you to Kintamani, famed for its spectacular views of Mount Batur. Then, hop on your mountain bikes and coast downhill through traditional villages, rice fields, and quiet backroads. Stop along the way to observe daily routines in family compounds and small village temples. Afterward, continue by car to the Tegalalang Rice Terraces for a light hike before heading to Ubud. Enjoy lunch and a visit to the Ubud Monkey Forest, a sanctuary home to more than 1,200 long-tailed macaques in their natural habitat. Conclude your day of adventure with a 45-minute hike along Campuhan Ridge, offering panoramic valley and village views. (B,L)

"This is the fourth time we travel with Explorient. As expected, everything was wonderful. We are already planning another one with them in the near future”
Veronica Salles-Reese - Virginia

“Trip of a Lifetime! My wife and I booked our honeymoon with Explorient. It was the most amazing trip we've ever had. A personal tour guide and driver waiting for you at each airport, five star hotels, and some of the most amazing sites the world has to offer. We were nervous to travel around Asia (Thailand, Cambodia, Singapore, Bali, and Hong Kong) but they took care of everything, even down to the vegetarian meals.“
