Day 1: Arrive Ubud, Bali (Welcome to the Island of the Gods)

Upon arrival in Bali, you’ll be met by your personal guide and transferred to your mountain retreat in Ubud. The remainder of the day is yours to settle in, refresh after your long journey, and enjoy the serenity surrounding your resort.

Day 2: Ubud (Ridge Walk, Cave Temple & Ubud Artistry)

Your introduction to Bali begins with a gentle hike along Campuhan Ridge, a revered landscape outside Ubud where river valleys, tall grasses, and rice paddies set an unhurried tone for the day. In Ubud town, take in the island’s royal heritage and browse the art market, pausing for a coffee or a few casual street bites along the way. Visit Goa Gajah, where Bali’s ancient spiritual traditions come to life through a carved stone sanctuary, then spend time in the Ubud Monkey Forest—a shaded reserve of towering trees and temple ruins where macaques roam freely through the sacred grounds. The remainder of the afternoon is yours to unwind with a spa treatment or relax by the resort pool in a serene, forested setting. Lunch included. (B,L)

Day 3: Ubud (An Immersive Day With the Locals)
This morning, venture to a remote Balinese village for a culturally rich day that feels worlds away—an intimate look at the island’s everyday rhythms, traditions, and quiet artistry. You’ll get hands-on with living ritual and craft, learning to shape canang sari offerings from young coconut leaves and trying anyaman weaving to create simple keepsakes. Along the way, generations-old skills come into view—from tapping coconut sap for tuak to the steady work of wood carving and the traditional production of Balinese coconut oil. For those who want to get in the action, step barefoot into the mud for a taste of traditional farming: from plowing the fields to planting rice by hand. A home-style Balinese lunch will be served amid the paddies. (B,L)

Day 4: Ubud (Village Biking & Rice Terrace Trekking)

Set out on an active day in Bali’s countryside—cycling through quiet villages and backroads, then stretching your legs with a scenic walk through some of the island’s most iconic rice fields. Begin in Luwus Village at the sacred Banyan Tree Temple, a peaceful starting point for your ride through terraced paddies and tropical gardens. Along the way, pause at a traditional family compound for insight into Balinese daily life, then continue by car to Jatiluwih, a UNESCO-listed landscape of emerald rice terraces cascading across the hillsides where you’ll embark on a light trek. After working up an appetite, savor lunch at a local restaurant before a relaxed afternoon back at the resort. (B,L)

Day 5: Ubud / Munduk (From Floating Temples to Hidden Waterfalls)

After breakfast, journey into Bali’s cool central highlands of Bedugul, a scenic region shaped by volcanic caldera lakes and misty mountain air. Traveling north, make a brief stop at Candi Kuning Market for a quick glimpse of daily life before continuing to Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, a serene water temple set on the shores of Lake Beratan. Wander the peaceful grounds and pause for photos at the iconic Handara Gate, then embark on a moderate forest walk to Banyumala Waterfall, where twin cascades spill into a clear natural pool surrounded by lush jungle. By late afternoon, arrive in Munduk to check in to your secluded mountain retreat for a two-night stay. (B)

Day 6 Munduk: (Rainforests, Crater Lakes & Waterfalls)

Today is devoted to nature—cool mountain air, rainforest trails, and quiet lake scenery in one of Bali’s most breathtaking highland regions. Begin at Lake Tamblingan, where a gentle one-hour trek leads you through the tropical rainforest surrounding this serene mountain lake, with opportunities to spot local flora and wildlife beneath the dense canopy.

At the water’s edge, board a traditional canoe for a peaceful 20-minute crossing, gliding across still waters toward the far shore where your driver awaits. Continue to Red Coral Waterfall, a picturesque cascade set in lush rainforest, known for its reddish rock face and refreshing mist—an easy and rewarding stop just outside Munduk. (B,L)

Day 7: Munduk / West Bali National Park (From Coffee Country to Pristine Shores)

After breakfast, enjoy a guided walk through the resort’s coffee plantation, tracing the journey of locally grown beans from plant to cup while learning about organic practices and the community of farmers that supports it. After check-out, travel toward Bali’s northern coast and the laid-back seaside atmosphere of Lovina. Along the way, stop at the sacred Banjar Hot Springs, where naturally heated waters spill into stone-lined pools beneath carved naga spouts—perfect for a restorative soak. Make a stop at nearby Brahmavihara Arama, Bali’s largest Buddhist monastery, before continuing onward to West Bali National Park. Check in to your beachfront resort for a two-night stay in one of the island’s most under-the-radar coastal escapes. (B,L)

Day 8: West Bali National Park (Snorkeling at Menjangan Island)

This morning, set out by private wooden boat for a short cruise to Menjangan Island, a protected gem off Bali’s northwest coast known for some of the island’s clearest waters and most vibrant reefs. Then, slip into the water to snorkel along coral gardens and dramatic reef walls, where colorful fish and fascinating marine life drift through the currents. Between swims, take a brief walk onshore—often home to the deer that give Menjangan its name. Return to the mainland for lunch and enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure to soak up your serene beach stay. (B,L)

Day 9: West Bali National Park / Pekutatan (Discover a Coastal Hideaway)

After a leisurely breakfast—or perhaps an invigorating beachside yoga session—set out on a scenic two-hour drive along Bali’s west coast to Pekutatan, a stretch of black-sand shoreline known for its laid-back atmosphere and untamed coastal beauty rarely found on the usual tourist trail. Check in to your beachfront retreat for a two-night stay. (B)

Day 10: Pekutatan (Turtle Conservation & FIshing Village)

This morning, explore the mangroves aboard a traditional Bugis phinisi—a handcrafted wooden sailing boat—guided by local fishermen as you glide through calm waterways. Along the way, learn about West Bali’s maritime heritage, including the local “boat marriage” tradition in which paired boats work together as one to fish these coastal waters. Continue to Pura Perancak, a storied temple linked to Dang Hyang Nirartha, for a private blessing with a local Hindu priest. Then visit Pak Komang’s turtle sanctuary to learn about marine conservation—if visiting between April and September, you may even release hatchlings into the sea. Enjoy a fresh seafood lunch by the water before returning to your resort. (B,L)

Day 11: Pekutatan / Seminyak Beach (From Quiet Villages to Vibrant Beach Scene)

This morning, explore rural Tabanan by bicycle on an immersive ride through Kaba-Kaba Village. Pedal along quiet lanes framed by rice fields and small temples. Meet a local blacksmith shaping ceremonial keris daggers by hand, then visit Batarateng Temple, dedicated to Dewi Sri, the goddess of rice and fertility. The ride concludes at Kaba-Kaba Palace, where carvings and artifacts offer a glimpse into the area’s royal past. After a lesehan-style lunch on the palace grounds, continue by road to Seminyak, where beachside energy, markets, and nightlife await. (B,L)

Day 12: Seminyak Beach (Seaside Serenity – Your Way)

Today is entirely at leisure to enjoy your surroundings at your own pace. Take a stroll along the golden shores, join an invigorating yoga class or relax by the beach or pool as you ease into Bali’s laid-back rhythm. (B)

Day 13: Depart Bali (Farewell Bali)

Your private transfer takes you to the airport for your departure flight onward—bringing your journey of discovery, adventure, and relaxation to a graceful close. (B)

THE EXPLORIENT DIFFERENCE

TESTIMONIALS

"We were pleased with the manner in which all of our tour guides and drivers were welll informed and on time. All of the recommended hotels were perfect. This was our first trip to this part of the world, although we have traveled to over 15 countries outside of the United Sates. Our tour planner was very accommodating in listening to our requested changes in the itinerary. At each of our 4 stops we had a uniquely enjoyable experience. …”

“Trip of a lifetime...My wife and I booked our honeymoon with Explorient. It was the most amazing trip we've ever had. A personal tour guide and driver waiting for you at each airport, five star hotels, and some of the most amazing sites the world has to offer. We were nervous to travel around Asia (Thailand, Cambodia, Singapore, Bali, and Hong Kong) but they took care of everything, even down to the vegetarian meals. I would (and do) recommend Explorient to everyone I know.”
